I liked my 2012 V6, it had decent power and decent gas mileage. However with the options for the EB being more performance minded I would go EB if I wasnt going to buy a 5.0
I dont think they intentionally hurt the v6's mileage, I think it was overstated previously. The v6 also banked on the 2.73 gearset to get that 31mpg highway figure which they dont have anymore as that was a terrible gearset for a less torquey engine.
agreed! Ive owned a few 5.0 fox bodies and an SVO and while i love the V8 sound and torque, the turbo4 in the SVO was damn fun too.
Given my budget ill take a EB premium with performance package over a base GT any day of the week.
I think that should be very close to real world. My 2012 v6 manual never got more than 22-23 combined. I never got the 29+ on the highway but I also had the performance package with the 3.31 gears and Im sure the mpg was rated with higher gears.
I dont know if I want to own a mustang that needs brake rotor changes that cost a 1/3 the price of the car LOL. carbon ceramic brakes are great for magazines, but if the intent is to track a car often, they will kill you by price quickly
I live in san diego and use cruise control nearly everytime I am on the freeway. Yes I have to temporarily shut it off for people driving too slow in the left lane, but Id bet it is on for 70% of the time im driving. I bet there would be less traffic if people used it on the freeways more often...
exactly. nicer interior of the premium, leather seats, better stereo etc.
My 2012 V6 was a base model with the only option being the performance package. I liked it like that, but at the same time did miss some nice things that the premium comes with.
I fully plan to buy the ecoboost...
Ive owned 4 5.0 fox mustangs, one SVO and a 2012 v6 mustang. I will most likely be buying a premium, performance pack ecoboost. About the same price as a base GT, but much more car!
hmmm base ecoboost, performance package with recaros, or premium ecoboost, performance package with standard leather. both about the same price, decisions decisions
whenever I saw the youtube videos of people with GT's trying to powershift into 2nd and it wouldnt go in I always thought well duh, it has skip shift of course it cant do that.
I had a 2012 MT82 v6 mustang and while the trans isnt the best in the world, I never had a problem with it and it was...
