Different trim levels have different wiring and connections. Having an open connection, without a corresponding unconnected plug, likely has no bearing on the operation of your lights.
Absolutely agree. All the beautiful cars just sitting makes me sad!
2018 Ecoboost Premium convertible with 117,xxx here. Headgasket at 83kish. Still my DD.
If a rod is knocking against a cylinder wall you'll have a blow out, not blow by...
Rod knock is caused by bearings with too much play. It has absolutely nothing to do with the rings sealing properly to the cylinder wall. To understand rod knock make a circle with two fingers, stick a finger...
As a former Harley rider I couldn't care less about the world acknowledging me. I revved the engine because I liked the sound. I'd do it in the middle of nowhere just to hear it. And my exhaust was loud so I'd be noticed. Having been nearly hit more than once by inattentive drivers with quiet...
If you read that 14.1V with the car running then you're not reading battery voltage. You're reading the voltage that the charging system is putting out.
The battery should be tested, after being fully charged with an independent charger, with a carbon pile load tester. That's the definitive test...
Certainly, but I don't expect there to be much to update other than losing some money at the casino... The car is my daily driver and we have taken it on many trips of 300 to 1500 mile round trip distances.
Even when the headgasket was falling the car would start and drive well. I just had a...
I own a '18 Ecoboost Premium convertible with the 10 speed auto transmission. I bought it used with 30k miles and the CPO warranty in July 2019. I wanted the convertible and didn't care to spend the extra for the V8. At the time I paid slightly more than half of its new sticker price.
Overall...
The rear fenders don't look right. That one has a little bit of tail fin going on at the rear lights. Thr OPs picture the fenders are smooth and rounded there. It could be a difference in model years i guess. I don't know enough to say.
Mine is/was my DD with a 70 mile daily round trip from 2019 until 2023 when I retired. It was always in Sport mode unless my wife was in the car. She doesn't like the harsher shifting due to some lower back pain so I drive in normal mode with her. The car is still my DD but not driven nearly as...
I don't think it's unreasonable to want to visit the shop and talk with someone. I do think it’s a bit unreasonable to expect a busy shop/manager to block out time for (to them) some random caller who may, or may not, actually show up. It's unfortunate that the shop you're interested in is 45...
Are you sure that you got the door completely attached properly? Not doubting you but I remember it being a royal pita to get the door seated. If it's got even a little gap there's going to be air blowing out.
Another thought might be one of the dash air ducts with a hole or loose joint.
I've never met a tire shop guy that didn't hate that stuff.
I'm fortunate that every car I've owned has had a spare of some sort.
We keep AAA which is a good option if you don't have a spare and many other unexpected automotive complications.
I just wish it put the windowsback up. Not possible because of the manual latch but still way better than factory. And don't forget that it will automatically go to the last drive mode too.
Look up the instructions online. They're pretty good. But basically you remove the rear seat base...
Have you contacted your tuner?
Ran any data logs?
How is the car running?
Who replaced the battery?
Did they check and clean the connections at both ends of the cables?
What voltage is the alternator outputing?
Best case is you have a loose or corroded connection somewhere.
Worst case, you need...
