After taking the new OEM drive shaft with the JXB bracket off and putting the old OEM drive shaft back on with no bracket all the vibration went away. We tried several different of the JXB bushings and nothing seemed to work. It must be something with my car , I know others that have used them...
Roush warranty starts from your cars in service date so you will have ZERO warranty if you already have 60K miles on it. Its an OK kit and is very reliable but does come with its hiccups. I went through several sets of cats and some random misfires. I now went catless and have a IC Chiller so...
Thank you, I appreciate that. I was told that you turn the rear of the drive shaft in the coupler and bolt it down. So basically you are moving it over a set of holes and seeing if that helps with the balance. The OE drive shaft has a sticker on it that you line up with the spot on the rear...
Update: JXB is working with me and sending out some different compound of bushings for their kit. They have been easy to work with and this seems to be a rare case as all I have read is their kit works and works well.
Yeah I ended up talking to the owner Kelltracs and he is 99.9% sure it isn’t his kit causing the issues. I bought the OEM stock two piece replacement and use the JXB carrier bearing support bracket. We’ve clocked the drive shaft and double checked all work. It’s on the way it’s supposed to be...
Yeah we clocked it, removed it and re installed. It’s an original new OEM two piece. I went this route as I didn’t want an vibration of the one piece. So not sure. Ready to put my old back in and just see if it goes away. It’s more of a process of elimination now 🤷🏻‍♂️
Installed a new oem drive shaft today along with the JXB carrier kit. Anyone else do this ? Getting some vibration when under load now. Didn’t have with the old drive shaft. I don’t think they can be put in wrong or any clocking is needed with stock two piece . Maybe I’m wrong ?
Also took the...
If I can get it down under a 10.50 I would be OK with that considering what I do with this particular car. So hoping a drag pack, some suspension work and a few tweaks it will be there. The other passes all had consistent MPH but the 60 was all over do to the wheel hop.
I was not in 2nd. I didn't have my advance/stability track turned off either. So a few people think I may have more left in the car with that turned off as well. I had it in drag mode with traction control off but I for whatever reason neglected to turn the advance track off.
I was getting really bad wheel hop even with the BMR lock outs. I may be switching to Kelltracs posi lock system this weekend. I actually think I may have slid the subframe over a bit as well. I have all new bolts and also Kelltracs bolt kit. Hopefully this part of the problem will be solved...
