What parallel are you making though? The previous generation GT350 had 430hp, and the current GT has 435hp. If this new engine/trim is a "Z06" in your example, what is the "ZR1" it is coming from/supplanting?

Why? Not a fan of torque converters? As you said they tried their hand with DCT's and it didn't go well. This new 10r80, while not a coverter-less DCT, is significantly faster shifting and I would imagine more fuel economic than the fastest DCT's. If it is at least as reliable as Porsches PDK...
