  1. Air strakes installed on gen7 performance variation mustangs

As some of you have already seen, Ford is now installing air strakes on the k- member on the new gen7 performance stangs. I installed these today on my 22 GT Premium and from a functional aero view they should improve downforce by evacuating air faster from below the car (if it didn’t help Ford...
  2. Steeda IRS Brace

If you have any understanding of the mustangs irs from an engineering standpoint it is crystal clear that the irs braces that tie to 3 points on each side WILL by far make the most difference in stabilizing the rear, and I did all of my suspension build in order. There is an average of a 1/4” of...
  3. Tires size

A 285 would be the widest you would run on that wheel.
  4. Supporting mods for supercharged 5.0

Half shafts are a big one, if you do some forum searches there are some pretty good posts about this.
  5. Supporting mods for supercharged 5.0

I would recommend to upgrade the drive line: trans build, axles, hubs, half shafts, drive shafts, reinforce diff. Some of these factory parts were not designed to handle 715 to the wheels, they will wear and potentially break much faster if you get into to hard.
  6. What should I do next to get rid of the "unsettled" rear suspension?

He is 100% correct the steeda IRS brace ties the subframe and chassis together in three different places, there is a significant amount of play between the subframe and chassis. This is where a majority of unstable rear end feel comes from on the s550. I did not lose that unstable feeling until...
  7. Premium vs Regular gas for track day

Yes, that probably helped but at the end of the day it boils down to afr, if you run a 120mm cai without tuning the car for the correct maf you will run lean and create some serious issues at high rpms. If the car is tuned for a larger maf it is a really good idea to run a higher octane 93+2 or...
  8. DARK MATTER GRAY S550 MUSTANG thread

I know this is long after your request, but this is my DMG GT Premium accented in gunmetal gray, this is prior to springs and many other mods. The TSW wheels and badges are all gunmetal gray, I had to paint the badges because no one makes them in that color.
  9. Kooks or American Racing 1 3/4” Longtubes with Highflow Cats

I have and it turned up nothing on 1 3/4” headers in either brands in regards to the details I inquired about.
  10. Kooks or American Racing 1 3/4” Longtubes with Highflow Cats

Usually get some decent feedback from this forum, there has to be someone who has installed either AR or Kooks 1 3/4” LTs?
  11. Premium vs Regular gas for track day

I would always run at least 91 octane to prevent knock. I have always run 93 since I bought my car new, after I added a 114mm cai and tune, my car would cut timing (leaned out) at wot on the drag strip on 93, so I started adding race fuel to increase my octane to 98 octane. Now it can keep up...
  12. 2021 Mach 1 - dissatisfied - i need help

Have an Attorny send them a letter, this usually motivates them. I never take my car to the Ford Dealer. Find a reputable local shop and have them look at it.
  13. Front tires question

That should be perfect, like I mentioned earlier I am running 275/35r20’s on 9.5” wheels with a +35 offset and I have about 1/3” between the tire and the strut with 0 rub 👍
  14. Front tires question

Wow, if the rears wheels are really +52.5 that would definitely be too much off set for the front. The OP would be better off with some wider factory replicas with +35 - +40, that would be more appropriate.
  15. Front tires question

Ok, offsets make all the difference, wider rear rims usually have a more positive offset, that brings the wheel closer to the strut (in front) and could easily cause rubbing issues. Guys run 285/35 19”s and 20”s with no rubbing issues with +35 - +40 offset in front. Your camber could be really...
  16. Front tires question

That really surprises me, I run 275/35r20’s squared with +35 offset and I have never had any rubbing. What is the offset on the pp wheels?
  17. Staggered 275/35R19 & 295/35R19 Pics

Tiresize.com will give tire diameter, weight, etc for every tire on the market. It is great for checking this type of info.
  18. Kooks or American Racing 1 3/4” Longtubes with Highflow Cats

Who has done either American Racing or Kooks 1 3/4” LTs w/high flow cats (not green)? And what was your experience with fitment, sound, heat (heat soak), gains, etc. My ride will be staying NA. Currently my only exhaust mod is a steeda x-pipe. Not looking to debate 1 7/8” vs 1 3/4”, my decision...
  19. Front Splitter Extension Canards with Air Channels

Here are the pics. After securing the remaining splitter/fender extension holes to the factory splitter with larger sheet metal screws and washers, I also applied 2 small felt pads at the top of each air channel where it is very close to to fender to protect any possible paint damage. Then I...
  20. Front Splitter Extension Canards with Air Channels

Thanks, I think I am going to give them a try, for $100 they surely can’t hurt anything.
