  1. Tell me about tuning the EB

I have never tried it but have read it's not suggested to try to go from FP to Cobb without going back to stock first, very possible to brick the PCM. Maybe someone has done so or has more experience could add input. BD
  2. Tell me about tuning the EB

It's only the 18+ Mustang EcoBoost's that are not allowed to return to stock from FP tune, all other platforms have the ability to return to stock including the 15-17 Mustang EcoBoost's. Read the "note" at bottom of 18+ EcoBoost FP tune page. https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-M4CA BD
  3. Tell me about tuning the EB

If you go the ford performance tune route, just be aware that you cannot go back to stock tune yourself, dealer only can return to stock tune for a fee in 18+ ecos.. BD
  4. Ecoboost Ticking Noise

Is the foam cover still on the high pressure fuel pimp after the engine replacement or did they forget to reinstall it, the high pressure pump does make a ticking noise mainly heard at idle. BD

  10. Jerks when accelerating

The sensor you referenced in above wiring diagram is not a MAF sensor but rather a MAPT sensor and is located in the top center of the intake manifold not the air cleaner cover or intake tube. It measure intake manifold pressure and temperature but not mass air flow at all. The EcoBoost is a...
  11. Vented oil cap

It's understandable under track/spirited driving conditions to vent more oil vapor that would build up on the breather filter over time. It should not be very noticeable under normal street driving conditions IMO. It all depends on the overall condition of the engine and piston rings as to how...
  12. Vented oil cap

I have had a one way vented oil cap on my eco for 15k miles and have yet to see any oil residue on the engine or valve cover or oil build up on the filter material of the vented cap. I also have a 100 psi one way check valve on the intake side of my JLT catch can to control any boost from being...
  13. 1st time at Tail Of The Dragon

Yes, it was an interesting drive especially in a 74 Datson 620 pickup truck. At least the bed was empty of all the camping gear and dirt bikes. :) BD
  14. 1st time at Tail Of The Dragon

I have only done the TOTD once, but it was in 1975 before it was even on the map as a biker/car destination when me and a buddy went to smokies on spring break to ride dirt bikes in the mountains from Tampa ,FL. We had to make a beer run once we got to the Fontana campground since at the time we...
  15. Crate motor M-6007-23TA

Correct on the standard and HPP numbers but the FP crate engine is using analog TB and separate control pack engine harness. There is a member on the mustangecoboost.net forum that was looking at going with the FP crate engine until he called FP and was told it was not a plug and play swap into...
  16. Crate motor M-6007-23TA

You need to call ford performance about the fitment since I believe you also need to buy the FP control pack kit for this to work in any 15-23 mustang. I don't believe it is a plug and play install without FP control pack. Read the FP info on the crate engine very closely...
  17. Buc-ee’s

Here is all the info you need to find top tier gas stations and read about the true differences between the additive packages used in top tier fuel versus non top tier fuel and the benefits for your rides. https://www.toptiergas.com/ BD
  18. Buc-ee’s

The fuel at your local fuel farm is the same in the huge tank its stored in, the tanker driver adds the specific additive package for the station it will be delivered to per retailers' requirements. True not all retailers belong to the top tier organization but may still use upper end additive...
  19. Buc-ee’s

It's not top tier gas so I would advise against using it unless absolutely necessary. We have a Buc-ees about 45 miles away now for over a year on I-20 east of B-ham but have never bought fuel there, they do have some good foods. BD
