  1. Which of you gt500 owners

They showed that video on the OPlive cop show a month or so ago and yes, he was bouncing off the rev limiter when he should have let out of the throttle. Just gives all car enthusiasts a bad rep with the general public especially with a minor in the car. BD
  2. 17 eco jerking while driving and stalling at low rpms

You may want to look at the throttle body and see if there is any carbon buildup on the butterfly and bore which can cause issues with the airflow and confuse the PCMs control of the butterfly. BD
  3. 17 eco jerking while driving and stalling at low rpms

There are 2 knock sensors on the 2.3L both being under the intake manifold with sensor 1 between cylinder 1/2 and sensor 2 being between cylinder 3/4 as seen in attached image. You likely have a bad knock sensor 2 that is giving erratic reading causing misfires and stalling/jerking. It's the one...
  4. Temp change with AC

The only difference between AC on and off is with it on the cooling fans are running all the time versus only when needed with the AC off to keep engine temps down. Driving at highway speeds with AC off the cooling fans will never turn on until you come to a stop and engine temp reaches 213-215...
  5. HOW TO BUILD A GOOD ECOBOOST 2.3 LITRE FOR UNDER 2500.00

Sounds like your off to a good start with parts so far. My color is actually called Rapid Red by ford but is very close to the Ruby Red as well. Looking forward to your posts and pics. BD
  6. Crate motor M-6007-23TA

Got 4 too many cylinders for this thread's topic. BD
  7. HOW TO BUILD A GOOD ECOBOOST 2.3 LITRE FOR UNDER 2500.00

I am hopeful you can build one for 2500 but also doubtful at the same time at least in terms of being ecopoof as you stated. If you use a 2.0L closed deck block to swap the 2.3L internals into the odds get much better for being ecopoof. Good luck for sure. BD
  8. Crate motor M-6007-23TA

I believe if you use the wiring harness and PCM from your original vehicle and other year specific parts that it can be pretty much a plug and play swap. There are a couple threads on the ecoboost.net talking about guys using the crate motors in their cars. 2017 2.3l Ford Performance Crate...

  11. NGK Plugs Installed- issues

I have a niece that works building military and commercial aircraft as a quality inspector, and she has told me for at least the last 10 years she will never fly period. If she will not sign off on a inspection they just hire flunkies that will sign off. BD
  12. NGK Plugs Installed- issues

Did you check and verify the plug gaps were set correctly. I know they should be pre gapped but they can get closed up in shipping. I would verify they are gapped correctly first. BD
  13. 4 Cylinder Ecoboost Class Action Lawsuit

Still a lot of unanswered question but your right it does not hurt to join in the class action. Thanks for the link. BD
  14. 4 Cylinder Ecoboost Class Action Lawsuit

Yes, it does mention 2015-2024 mustangs. It's in the end of second paragraph. It covers a variety of models powered by the 2.3L EcoBoost, including the 2015-2024 Ford Mustang, 2019-2024 Ford Ranger, 2016-2024 Ford Explorer, 2021-2024 Ford Bronco, 2015-2020 Lincoln MKC, and 2020-2022 Lincoln...
  15. 4 Cylinder Ecoboost Class Action Lawsuit

This update came out last week and now includes the mustang 2.3L engine in the lawsuit. Don't hold your breath for any real resolution in plaintiff's favor. https://fordauthority.com/2025/06/2-3l-ford-ecoboost-class-action-lawsuit-filed-over-alleged-leaks/ BD
  16. Tell me about tuning the EB

I believe we are in agreement now as to what is and is not realistic and reasonable for the eco mustangs engine power levels. If you want more then yes buy a GT. BD
  17. Tell me about tuning the EB

Yes, I know those were not your words I was just showing I was in agreement with you on the numbers not being realistic for a stock block. Sorry if I made you think otherwise. BD
  18. Tell me about tuning the EB

No one stated 500+ WHP just 500WHP that you stated the block would handle; the open deck blocks will not hold up to 500 WHP for long. The 2.0L and 2.3L blocks are both the same bore only the stroke is different so the 2.3L is already a stroked 2.0L by use of stroked crank and longer rods so no...
  19. Tell me about tuning the EB

Why don't we ask for all that have 500 WHP from their EcoBoost's that are still driving them to report in and give us their experience be it good or bad on how many miles they have since tuning for 500 WHP and how they actually use the vehicles. I am betting we will be lucky to hear from 1 or...
  20. Tell me about tuning the EB

If you were successful in going from the FP tune to a Cobb tune it would write the FP tune as the stock tune in the Cobb so still would not have ability to go back to stock except by paying a dealer. BD
