The catch probably needs to be adjusted (the bar that the latch hooks on to) should be 2 screws to loosen it then move it to the point where it catches good it may take a few trys to get it right.
This is the first vehicle I have that had either one.
I did have some experience with the beeper since I worked at a Ford assembly plant.
I don't know how I got by without them on my vans and trucks,but I love them on my Mustang.
1st gear is pretty low you will run out of rpm's at around 25 mph so if you really want to smoke-em start in 2nd and you will be amazed
I rarely use 1st anymore even if I dont stomp it just normal driving
Went to put mine in and couldn't budge the clips.But I did notice the body vents were laying down on top of them(yes both sides)took it to the dealer to have the vents put back in told the service manager if they had to remove the marker lights to just leave them out because I was replacing...
I am planning to put the black 5.0 badges and pony on my GT, BUT since I have the 50yr appearance pkg I would also like to do the corral and bars on the grill in the same black

The engine has to be warmed up to the proper temp and you need to push on the brake pedal hard and hold it.till all the
bars light up it will tell when it is engaged.
