If the Mach 1 cost $15 grand less and had comparable performance to an SS 1LE, I would trade in for one. Some prioritize performance over looks, some don’t.
I’ll wait for a supercharged C8 Corvette and see how it compares to a GT 500. We already know the Shelby looks a hell of a lot better. I...
I agree, better looking and more heritage in the Mach 1 for sure. Ergonomics and fit to finish, no, they're comparable.
Easier to live with, I don't know, I've daily driven my 1SS 1LE for over 50,000 miles and I have no complaints.
Performance, the Camaro SS 1LE wins in every metric, and I...
Not a GT, but my son plans on dual gloss black racing stripes from Worm Graphix, then a spoiler, also gloss black, finally a new set of rims and tires. Nothing performance oriented until he's 18 though.
It's the same for Camaros.
Mine works a bit differently, but I have Track exhaust and suspension, and Sport steering and throttle, and of course Rev Match.
I don't drive into Atlanta unless I have to. There are a some areas on the south side, between me and Atlanta, that I avoid to the extent I can.
Having said that, Georgia is a shall issue state. A concealed permit is easy to get and inexpensive. I'm a competitive shooter.
Manual 1LEs come with NLS stock. I don't know about the Mach 1, but in the 1LE you have to engage NLS from a stop. Track mode, engage clutch, WOT, wait for revs to drop to about 3K, then launch and shift as usual except WOT must be maintained throughout shifting.
To me it feels pretty...
This was not issuing tickets for driving 25 over. This was getting a $200 ticket (in the eighties) for doing 46 in the 45, or the only ticket I got there, changing lanes without signaling (which I didn't do) and it was a TWO lane at that point. If I recall correctly it cost me about $120, and...
Wilmer Alabama was so bad about tickets back in the 80s that they were ordered to put up full sized billboards on the highway running through town, one on either end. The billboards had flashing red lights on top and said "Motorists and Tourists Beware, Speed Trap next 7 miles."
At one point...
Maybe in California they can get away with that, not in Georgia.
Pacing and visually estimating are not the same, not even close.
V8 Mustang's sound great. I saw a red GT (2020 I think) with black trim, basically the same color scheme as my SS 1LE, yesterday. That thing had an aftermarket...
My son is working towards a couple of modifications to his Mustang this summer. One of them is dual, wide racing stripes, (probably matte black) preferably bumper to bumper, but perhaps hood, roof, rear deck, only. One option I've heard of is Big Worm Graphix, they look pretty good.
What are...
I'm curious, I assume you're talking about the Mustang and shifting to 6th at 70 mph. What about your Camaro? I typically don't go to 6th unless I'm over 70 mph. 5th is my overdrive for 50-70ish.
For sure. This is one of the reasons I always have rev match on. Easier on the clutch.
I agree. They rolled out a vehicle which will contribute more to 'global warming' or pollution in general than an ICE F150 would due to the extraction procedures for the rare earth components of the battery, the future disposal costs of spent batteries, and emissions from the power plants that...
An F150 of some kind is definitely in my future (as my wife's new vehicle). This one would not work as we do at least two 300+ mile one day round trips a month, and a bunch of longer drives per year, AND we'll want to be able to tow on the longer drives. Not practical.
