  1. Why doesn't the Mustang have keypad code entry?

Finger print scaners doesn't have to be on the actual surface exposed. As I've said, it could be placed behind a thicker conductive glass to be protected from the elements and still work.
  2. Why doesn't the Mustang have keypad code entry?

That’s why I said “further weather proofing”. I mean, if my iphone 6 designed for indoor use, was able to take abuse with my outdoor activities, a fingerprint sensor behind a glass designed for a car, would surely able to withstand 24/7 outdoor. The Mustang already implemented the hand...
  3. Why doesn't the Mustang have keypad code entry?

This old iphone 6 that I’m using right now has been beaten, submerged, splashed on with sand and mud, and it reads my fingerprint just fine. I’m sure it’s not hard for engineers to further “weather proof” a fingerprint scanner sitting idly on a side of a Mustang.
  4. Why doesn't the Mustang have keypad code entry?

Apple's iphone home button finger print scanners have prooven to be reliable. I don't think it's hard to implement on a car.
  5. Splash guard under engine help

LoL that spalsh guard was the kicker. But at least now, you only have to remove one screw to get to the oil filter. Before, you have to remove all 7 screws of the base model splash guard.
  6. Why doesn't an oil catch-can come stock on our Mustangs??

Wow! Some people here have the nerve to call some as "idiot", and not even know how port fuel injection works.
  7. What's inside 2018 GT mufflers?

From looking at the cutouts... https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/stock-resonator-cutaway.120726/ Looks like the resonator acts more like a perforated straight thru muffler, with glassfiber and wire mesh packing (first chamber is clear of packing that provides a crossover point)...
  8. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

It is on a 1X1" small sticker with very small letterings placed around the 87 regular button.
  9. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

I can't think if any supplier that actually do this nowadays without advertising it. Even the Shell with their Nitro+, states "all grades of fuels have equal amount of detergents greater than Tier One."
  10. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

I may have not have explained it like this, but this is the reason why I do 91-93 octane, Not because it’s “premium”. I hate it that it is expensive, partly due to the fact that people use it even if they really don’t need it. I rather have those small pings to a minimum. At the same time...
  11. Aftermarket active exhaust on a car that came with standard exhaust

Is it possible to just manually flip the valves on a aftermarket active exhaust if installed on a stang that came with standard exhaust? I have a 2018 GT standard exhaust and is pretty satisfied with how it sounds coming from the factory, don’t mind if it were just tad louder. But my kids and I...
  12. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

I know it's fine, the manual says so. But I'm keeping this car until forever. And running 87 is cutting too close for higher chances of pre-ignition. As I've mentioned earlier, knock sensors retards the timing only after it senses pinging. That means some amount of harmless pre-detonation...
  13. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

The main and only "reasonable" reason why they have to make higher octane fuel is to prevent auto ignition.
  14. 2018 GT MPG 87 vs. 93 octane

I had first hand experience with an older 9:1 CR Nissan engine about octane grade. When the first 100 RON (94 AKI) became available in my home country, I eagerly used it. It resulted with my car running slugish, black exhaust, moist spark plug tips. Went back to 91 RON (87 AKI) and the car ran...
  15. 3.55 gears make much difference over 3.31?

I have a 2019 gt with 3.55. I wish I had the 3.31 as I view my car more of a grand tourer than a track car. Not to mention the mpg gains. And also my oem tire 255/40r19 setup have the smallest rolling diameter of all s550 tire-wheel combo at 27". Base have 27.3" and PP wheel/tire is at 27.7"...
  16. Stock resonator cutaway

Like the wall that separates the two big chamber? Not seen in the top view camera shot? If only Ace took another angle ;)
  17. Stock resonator cutaway

Thanks for this! So the only connection between the two banks are perforations of the pipes in the small last chamber?
  18. 2019 Saleen Black Label review

Probabaly because they engineered the chassis and suspenssion to be mated with that big 800hp v12, from the gound up, when they first took the drawing board. While this Saleen is a S550 chassis originally designed and mated for 440 hp v8, but is now increased to 800hp. There are some inherent...
  19. 2019 Saleen Black Label review

To be more specific FR (front engine - rwd) Mid-rear configurations (with street tires) doesn't have this much of a problem . That's why the C8 Vette get's it's engine moved to the rear of the driver.
  20. 2018/19 PP spoiler; when removing are marks left on trunklid?

Is the black accent spoiler purely held on by double sided acrylic? No clips and holes in the trunk?
