Got my tune being worked on as I am typing this. Looks like Lund doesn't trust this e54 flex fuel stuff. We are going to start at 11.5-12lbs of boost. Should be able to get up into the 14-15# area but playing it safe at first. I understand that it is new fuel and they don't fully trust it yet...
Got some more goodies in the mail!
Pypes Stepped Headers!
Talk to Terry at Beefcake about these. He will tell you a secret...It's why I impulse bought them.;)
Say no to nannies! I really enjoy the mechanical feel of a vehicle. This is why I have a manual and went a step further with a Magnum XL on top of that! The self driving cars are coming no doubt about that.
I do have a drag setup in mind that includes some 18's:ford:
Had a chat with Terry@Beefcakeracing and ordered a few things.
Fore Fuel System
Pypes Headers <-----Total impulse buy...damn you Terry!!!
Lund nGauge and tune
The guys at Kenne Bell hooked me up with a couple pulleys and a puller at a great price. As usual they are taking good care of me.
If I had the stock manifold these injectors would have fit fine.
Its the Kenne Bell manifold that makes it tight.
There isn't a lot of people running a KB on this board so I am pretty much going it alone with this stuff and documenting it as I go in my build thread. Hopefully it will come in...
It was close but the Kenne Bell manifold prevented me from being able to move it enough. The driver side fit better than the passenger side. Strange:shrug:
Either way they fit fine. Super excited to get the rest of my fuel system from beefcake
Id1050x injectors going in. Not excited about how they fit but as long as they work I will be happy.
Had to grind the corners down on the plugs to clear the cylinder head.
Anyone install them? They are stubby and not sure I like the idea of running the adapter. This is what they look like on the rail. Lots of interference on the plugs so the only way I can make it work is to trim the edge a bit.
Thoughts?
Bolt locations for the front timing cover.
This is hard to make out in the manual so I figured I would add this in case anyone gets stuck.
Red is 10mm bolts with washers
Blue is studs
Green is 13mm bolts
