My 2015 manual vert has the delay and I like it. Pro Tip: If you're pulling forward and it seems to "stick", showing the camera longer than you think it should, just briefly pull and release the hand brake. Turns camera off instantly.

Mark me down as another one who ignores the camera when parking in my own garage. Side mirrors only. If I'm backing into a crowded parking lot I do use the camera to make sure there are no obstacles like bushes, trees, or small children.
