I've used it maybe three times, one of those when it detected a brake error on first test. Turns out if there is any warning light illuminated on the dash, including the park brake engaged on your manual transmission car parked in a lot, it will flag as a problem. Didn't really find much value...
I also have a Blackvue and am happy with it other than I think driving with the top down damaged the microphone. Recorded audio is pretty much worthless now, worked great when new. Still, I got it for the video functionality and it still works great. Can't see it behind the mirror when...
The only vibration I've felt is due to tires. I still have the factory tires on my car, and if the car sits for a week or more it will actually "flat spot" the tires. It takes about 3 miles of driving (not sure if it's distance or warm-up that cures it) to smooth them out again.
This is the...
On the topic of washed out gauges, I drive with the top down a lot and in south Texas there's a lot of sunshine. Many times I can't even see my speedometer due to direct sunlight. I actually have to remove my sunglasses and lean forward to check my speed.
I can't image an all digital gauge...
I have no info on the system in the new Mustang, but I will relate a story I read in a car magazine a year or so back. Journalist was on a freeway doing around 70 when a small plastic bag (think Wal-Mart sack) blew across the highway right in front of him. The car went into full ABS panic...
I work from home and specifically ordered my GT vert so that when I actually need to drive somewhere it is the most pleasurable experience possible. My wife has the "family car" we use daily so the Mustang only leaves the garage once a week or so.
When it does leave the garage it is driven...
Well crap. At least it does not specifically call out the "actuation" components of the convertible top. If I get a rip in the fabric I'll just have to suck it up.
For a moment I thought we were getting a new version of the '96 Mystic or the '04 Mystichrome and got excited. Then I watched 10 seconds of the video and wished I had that click back.
Glad you're ok, but curious how much tread was left on your tires. Been thinking about putting a set of takeoff PP wheels/tires on my vert but not if they can't handle rain puddles.
I bought the Ford "PremiumCARE" ESP when I bought my Mustang. I do it out of habit with each new Ford I buy, and have done so for decades. I go with the 5 year, 100k plan and generally get my money's worth out of it. Since my car has all the bells & whistles plus a soft top, I'll likely get...
Managed another one this week. Pulled up to the drop box at the post office and when reaching down for the driver's window button my watch hit the seat memory button #3 (which I think was set up for my 6 inches shorter than me wife). Rolling to a stop next to the drop box as the seat rolls...
I would love to see how this works on a sunny day in a convertible with top down. The current gauges all but disappear in the noon Texas sun, I have doubts you'd be able to see anything at all on the new display.
There was an on-ramp like this near my old home, and it was near a truck stop. Big rigs fully loaded trying to merge with only 50 yards of space. There was also a stop sign 100 yards BEFORE the onramp, giving a grand total of less than 200 yards of acceleration space before joining the...
