So I've been fighting the low speed bogs and just put the stock air box back in and flashed the steeda tune again. Its now a tire frying machine! 1,2,3...sideways down the road. Had the k&n on it which would 1,2,3..bog. Before that was the steeda CAI which would hookup threw the middle of...
I've ran both steeda insert in/out tunes. I liked them, shifted firm and evenly in all gears. Had slightly better low end then stock SCT and brenspeed tunes. Brenspeed revs higher and at times hits the rev limiter before it shifts. Also the shifts are kind of weak, which could be better at...
My biggest complaint with the car is the transmission shifting and engine throttle response. Ford dropped the ball on tuning these cars. Great body style but chassis rocks around corners, under steer, wheel hops. My girlfriends KIA and dad's Honda pilot drive noticeably better. I think Chevy...
Sorry for the late response. I got the car back today and it is now finally shifting like its supposed to. Put it in sport and it will now shift on its own 1-2. They replaced the trans control module and solenoid. Been bad from the day I got it. The guys were really cool at the dealership and...
My car has never shifted right. Will bounce off the revlimiter sometimes before it shifts in drive. I tuned it and it fixed the shifting. But had the cats removed a couple of days ago and took it for a test drive. After a couple of miles it went into neutral on its own and now it won't get out...
Sounds great! Lt headers? How are you leaving the line are such a high rpm? After market converter? Who races at 100°? I do believe a custom tune or a higher stall would solve the hiccup.
Yes. Do you have a manual? And what temp outside did you race? The problem occurs above 75° on the steeda CAI with insert in. At all temps with the insert out. Below 2k insert in, below 2.5k insert out.
Why don't you like k&n? The problem I've been having is with the larger air tubes. They slow down the air flow threw the MAF and cause a slight delay(stumble) at low rpm. Especially when its hot or at altitude when the air is thin. I've had the steeda cai die at an idle @95 outside. I figured it...
The tune will help a little. Steeda has a good stock air box tune. Brenspeeds is more aggressive but slightly choppy with the throttle. If you went 3inch cat back sell it and do 2.5inch with an H pipe. Also stick with the stock air box and drop in k&n filter for max low end.
I should add. Driving to work my IAT was 4-5 above (75 outside) and stopped at taco time drive threw, of which when I received my crispy meat burrito, the IAT was 125. 50 above
Funny I just installed my k&n this morning (previously the steeda). Low speed driving is almost as good as the stock air box again but with noticeable more top end. With the steeda I could hold the car in 1st and wot@3k, the car would just about spin the tires and shift into 2nd without...
Hey I'm the guy in Oregon trying to sell my foundry wheels. 2 below you on this forum. I still have the boxes my new tires came in. I can ship the wheels to you. But its probably going to cost an arm and a leg.
Yes traction control was held 5sec for fully off. 4th gear Jon force burnouts before each run. We need someone with an auto and a jlt to chime in and tell us how great it runs at low rpm. If so what tune they are running.
I live in Albany Oregon and want to sell these wheels with the stock tires. Wheels are mint but the back two tires have only half the tread left lol. Ill be driving to Vancouver Washington this hot weekend. I can deliver! Salem-portland and surrounding areas. Even the coast line.
I'm running the steeda intake. You do not need a tune with the insert in. It did feel like it picked up 5-8hp but the car also developed a low rpm stumble when accelerating out of a corner or off the line at wot. I suspected it was the increase in tube size. I bought their tune for the insert in...
