I ended up finding a used stainless set via a friendly forum member that directed me to a Facebook for sale ad. Seems they pop up used every now and then for those that don't want to go to homedepot and try to kill themselves with hardware isle crap.
This is what worries me as till now no one can tell me how many hours are on the car… which would mean if I couldn’t actually find out I’d also have to budget for rebuild to be safe… same could be the case for the trans as well.
Im considering all this and could be grounds for an offer way...
This is where I am after seeing the car in person. That was a poor show of fixing… in addition to having little info… what other corners were cut on the car through its life… what a shame cause it’s such a cool track car.
I guess I’m back to the drawing and scouring racingjunk while enjoying my...
Went and saw the FP350S.. turns out the car had a small incident at road Atlanta. There is a dent in the rear quarter that was poorly filled with bondo and the rear bumper seam taped. Nothing structural and underneath and inside the trunk are fine. The car is on its second owner and hasn’t been...
it’s actually less about making money and more about moving money appropriately based on the usage. I have x amount of money allocated for what I enjoy. Selling cars for other cars is not about trying to turn x into y, it’s about using x to continue to experience more/different things as my...
Firstly this is @pilotgore 's fault lol.
I have a 2020 Heritage base with Recaros and about 4200 miles, chassis #11. The car has the 8 year 36k premiumcare extended ford warranty. The car has only seen rain once and has PPF over the entire front clip, lower doors and rear quarters. Car has ford...
Anyone know is they stopped making the Caliperfextion stud kit? OP mustang and Caliperfextion themselves both dont seem to have any. Anyone have a line on a set?
Thanks,
Jeff
Do you feel the shudder in the steering wheel only, or do you feel the brake pedal also pulsing? It sounds like you only feel it in the wheel, which would make me think something in the front suspension.
Have you had the car in the air and tried to give some lateral forces to a wheel just...
I wouldn't call the SC3's not fast. I'd actually say if you're looking for consistent fast lap times over a HPDE weekend they are the best tire for the dollar.
I have a 2020 and ran the stock cup 2's at Pittrace until they were destroyed (only took 1 weekend, car had 1000 miles when had to...
Anyone know of a graphic or decal shop that does Wimbledon white over guardsman blue numbers? I bought what I thought would be close from firestormgraphix but no dice.
looking for either roundel Or something that follows body line of my gt350.
I didn't know about the Nelsons mid week events... those look awesome and a good excuse off work.
I'll be at the chin event at PIRC over memorial day if anyone else will be there.
awesome to have a fellow track rat. I’ll be at next months scca track night and also run chin and scda events at pittrace. I have a heritage gt350. Will have to link up!
I also just ended up buying a trailer per my earlier message. See attached for my trip to VIR earlier this month.
When you say starter does its dance, do you mean clicks or you can hear it actively trying to turn the engine over? It should be a very different sound if the motor is seized vs just not wanting to crank over due to lack of fuel, or spark etc. If the engine is seized you should just hear a loud...
the problem I’ve had with uhaul trailers is that they are not friendly for low vehicles. I had an FD RX7 that had ohlins coilovers on. I replaced the motor and the turbos and needed to trailer it to get tuned… it was a nightmare with the uhaul… I had to build ramps to get the car on… I had to...
