Oil pumps are positive displacement. That is, they produce constant flow at a given RPM. If the oil is cold, it will have higher viscosity, and that means higher pressure. But I don't see what that has to do with valve buildup.

That's a good question. From a cursory investigation, no, but the information could be somewhere in digits 4-8. If you're looking for a quick way to verify if a car was PP2 from the factory, check the door jamb sticker. It'll show the 305 tire size, which was only available with PP2.

I'll test this. I'm certain it has fought me when the signal was on, but I can't recall if it was in the detent or not.
