the motor still has to spin the blower though. The JT flows 1450 CFM and the 2.9 Whipple flows 1720 CFM . the YSI-B flows 1950 so I would assume the JT-B is going to flow somewhere between that according to the data.
Ive always heard that but I dont think I have ever seen anything that proves that. If you have a link to it I would love to read it.
But if it takes more power to turn wouldnt it make less HP than a centri at the same boost level?
You definitely can't go wrong with a PBD tune on the Whipple. I can't wait to get my car on the track and see what it runs especially paired with the 6060.
As of now we're not planning on doing that. However this Whipple is pretty badass. There's a couple other cars that are supposed to be getting this same setup.
I swapped my JT-B over to the 2.9 Whipple and I haven't looked back. Boost for boost the Whipple made 734/562 while the JT-B was...
I havent tried it on my ET street Rs yet, this is just on the street comps so she just spins but no hopping on those. When I start to log the 3.5 Ill put the Rs back on the car.
During the roll race event at SCT I hit the limiter in third and went through at 139. If im trapping just under...
Stock for now.
I also installed some UPR Vert links, adj toe rods and the Gforce Halfshafts. Super happy with those parts as well. I have noticed zero wheel hop.
Little update. The Whipple arrives Tuesday and my set of Gforce 850 halfshafts arrive tomorrow. They're supposed to be a lot tougher than 850 and I'm pretty stoked to test them out with the Whipple.
