Got them done at California Wheels in Campbell. They have a few stores in the Silicon Valley/S.F. Bay Area, and do their powder coating in house at one of their locations. They coated 4 wheels, mounted and balanced my tires all for $1000. Did a great job, and had it done in 3 days.
SVE MHP1 wheels that I had powder coated gloss triple bronze. They were available from SVE in "bronze", but when I got them they were more "Sand" than Bronze, so I had them coated. The SVE wheels look Identical to the M1 HP wheels, but are stronger and weigh 12 pounds less than stock...
What's wrong with using the LMR stocked SVE MHP1 wheel in staggered 11" & 10"or a square 10" setup? They look exactly like the OEM Mach1 HP wheels, but weigh only 23.5 lbs. are much stronger and are available in different colors...
That sounds like a bit much, but if that's what they specify, maybe your torque wrench is not so accurate at that low a setting. I have a 1/4" drive in. lbs. torque wrench in addition to a couple of ft. lbs. wrenches 3/8" & 1/2" drives, including one I bought just to do the spindle nuts on my...
I've run Truetrac's in my F150s for years and they work awesome, they operate very similar to the Torsen in my Mach1, and the only maintenance is changing the gear oil.
I've had Auburn, TracLoc and Detroit Lockers in Mustangs and F150s over the years, but the Truetrac is my favorite. The Detroit...
The worst time I had was trying to turn around on a narrow road and the shoulder was more of a drop off than I thought or hoped. Getting back on the asphalt was quite a trick, and it made a very loud shovel scraping noise, but looked fine after inspection.
If I remember correctly, yours was built within a week of mine, but mine sat in the Kansas City RR yard for an extra 2 weeks. I picked her up from Granger on Aug. 26, so I've had her just over a year. 😁
My custom graphic was close to a grand. I also had Cervini paint the louvers Magnetic Metallic to match the mirrors and wing, though I wish I had told them to use a matte clear coat, it would match the 3M vinyl and mirrors/wing better than the gloss. Someday I might fix it.
I have the Cervini GT500 hood on my '22 Mach1 and with the drip pan removed, I see zero hood movement. Had it up over 100mph (in "Mexico") and even with high head or cross winds, it seems planted. FYI, I do not have hood pins on mine.
My DD came with the Handling Pack, and yes it rubs using some driveways. I do make a habit of swinging wide to flatten them out. I haven't had any other clearance issues, and I've had it a year and it has 13,800 miles.
