Just hit 15,000 miles. Picked her up at Granger Motors in Iowa on Aug. 28th 2022, so about 15 months ago. I drive her to work 3 or 4 times a week, and on weekends. Since we got our two German Shepherd puppies, we take the Explorer ST for trips now. The pups came home in the back of the Mach1...
Here is what it looks like:
HP wheels with PS4S in foreground, R375 with Conti in background, big difference in tread pattern and they worked really good in a emergency stop this morning in the rain! Throws a lot of spray with the big diffuser out back too. 😎
I'm going square for the "winter". I live in CA so winter is sort of weak as winters go, unless I drive to Reno or something, in which case I would take my Explorer ST.
I'm putting 4ea. 285/35ZR19 Continental EXTREMECONTACT SPORT 02 tires on these:
The paint on the louvers are my only complaint, and when I find a can of spray paint that closely matches Magnetic metallic, I'll spray them up. The flat finish on them is hard to keep looking clean.
I run them on mine that I daily drive with no issues, but Bay Area/Nor Cal doesn't see temps. below freezing, and not many even that cold. We take the Exploder ST when we drive in the Sierras in winter.
Got one and it fits, just move the "kit" that comes with the Mach1. I bought the jack kit from them too, and it fits with the wheel, under the trunk floor too. Ask me how I flew with it to Granger Iowa from CA, Haha! Checked baggage baby!
Just touching the matte part leaves a mark from dead skin or whatever, wax will leave a residue too. The only way I found to clean it, is with a white rubber eraser. Horrible Decal!
