It would be a great winter dish, but I made it for a side to go with our leftovers from the restaurant. But I also didn't realize it was going to make THAT much lol!
I saw where you visited FL, but I didn't know you were moving there. 2 of my neighbors are from Cali, I see there are a lot of...
Ate at Carraba's last night and their chicken soup is delicious. Found a copycat recipe to try out today since I also roasted a whole chicken this morning. Boiled the bones and skin down for the broth.
Samples were good, just threw the chicken in and I'm letting it simmer for a bit.
I don't eat fish, but I'm trying to get there.
Made some pan seared tuna today and it was actually very good.
Lime juice, EVOO, sesame oil, honey, red pepper flakes, chopped jalapeño, S&P, toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce. Let it marinade for about 40 minutes.
I tried cooking it all the way...
Got these "Country Style Ribs" from the butcher awhile ago and hot damn they're amazing.
Sides weren't worth taking pics of lol 🤣
EVOO for the binder, SPG and Meat Church's Honey Hog and on the smoker at 400° for 20 minutes, some of them were at 180° so I could probably pulled them sooner
Made another steak and some eggs this morning. Seared again straight out the freezer, and then 300° at 25 minutes this time. Slightly underdone so I put it back in for 7 more minutes, which was too long 😆
The cut open pic was before I threw it back in the oven.
But it was better today and...
Canards and rear wing, mirror caps or painted. Wheels are factory. Grill lighting has been added and RTR badging on the fenders. Drilled front bumper cover, not sure if Cali requires front plates. Does the filter/intake require a tune?
I'll be the outlier, I like the wrap on the Shelby...
I wanted a steak this morning but they're all frozen. So I grabbed a NY Strip, olive oil, SPG and Brancho seasoning straight into a hot steel pan.
Seared on both sides and then into a 350° oven for 20 minutes. Damn good. Slightly overdone for my taste so next time I might drop the time and...
Odd dinner tonight lol. I found some fresh peas of some sort and threw them in a pot to get them going.
Had some leftover sausage, some fresh ears of corn that really needed to be cooked soon. And I was hankering for some spicy/low country boil, however I eat shrimp but not fish.
So that's...
Brought a bunch of homemade sausage over to the in-law's house since they're hosting so many people, so of course I got recruited to cook it lol
Forgot to take pics.
I kinda hate coming over to large family functions...so many hands and fingers in the food, it's hard to figure out what's safe...
It fed 12 people and we split the leftovers! I took enough home for 2 good size sandwiches and left them enough for about 8 more. It was damn good and I'm not saying that just bc I cooked it lol
Can't wait to see! Sounds great!
I got rave reviews on everything, one of the aunts threatened to take the entire leftover cake and a fork to her bedroom tonight lol
I gotta remember pics when we cut into it!
Made from scratch vanilla and cream cheese cake, layered with Apricot preserves and then topped with cinnamon and coconut. Can't wait.
