  1. Where to tie in vacuum tree

I believe I inserted a 1/2" T into the line running from the intake to the right side (grey barb) of the dual check valve. I then used a 1/2"->3/8" reducer and ran 3/8" line to my billet vacuum block.
  2. GT Paxton 350 ?

The V3 volute is dimensionally smaller than the Paxton. The Paxton is already an interference fit between the rubber inlet piping and volute. I would suspect the larger GT350 TB would make this even more tight. While they all share the same bolt pattern on the gear case, the housings are different.
  3. GT Paxton 350 ?

I believe the answer is similar to the reason it won't fit the 2018. I think the hood clearance is not there to allow the 2200 head unit room to clear. That being said, and also being hindsight, I suppose you could potentially factor in the idea of using motor mounts to help clear the hood? I...
  4. Is all horsepower created equal?

I'm in a grey zone in trying to determine which head unit I need to upgrade too:/ I know a JT-B would likely be perfect for now but I'm gonna try to have at least pistons and rods in the car by the end of this year. Thus my JT-B vs YSi dilemma. Heck I don't even know if the YSi is worth it...
  5. Baer Drag Brake weight!

These are on my radar along with a driveshaft as my next mod. I'm already practicing my parking strategies without an e-brake, lol. Initially I just wanted to do the fronts and the Eradispeed rotors in the rear as I'm not going to run 15's in the rear but I feel compelled to do the rears along...
  6. Is all horsepower created equal?

850 on pump gas is asking for trouble. The only way I would attempt it would be with a turbo as your overhead HP cost is substantially lower. However, even then you are playing with fire. Boosted applications require two things: Heat and detonation control. As far as headers go...the Kooks...
  7. GT350 Manifold Nitrous Setups.

You can use stock plate with stock TB on the adaptor with longer bolts or the 350 TB/350 plate, or GT TB, adaptor, GT350 plate. The plate doesn't care where you put it behind the TB, it just treats the adaptor as if it was the intake.
  8. Procharger vs Paxton

Made 850 on E with 2200 SL and headers. Probably going to push it just a little more (Boss intake, maybe some cams) before I decide to go YSi or nah. Procharger appears to have an easier belt routing setup, however with practice the Paxton belt swap isn't that difficult. It really boils...
  9. Baer Drag Brake weight!

Are you asking if 11" brakes will stop as well as a 14-15" 4/6 piston front brake? Cmon, clearly the terminal stopping distance will be longer. Will you be able to stop in an emergency at normal driving speeds? Yes. Will you be able to stop on a dime while going 160 on the street and a deer runs...
  10. Cobra jet IM and boost?

I know the easiest way to add few thousand dollars to a Paxton build: add a CJ intake to the mix. You need CJ intake, custom intake spacers, custom charge piping, and a cowl hood. (or you could just cut a hole all the way through the stock hood?). All for HP/TQ gain that will likely not be...
  11. After market clutch

Same here. This clutch is a very nice piece and should last the lifetime of the car (it's component serviceable).
  12. Clutch and Flywheel

I'd argue it's $500 more clutch :p I actually came out very well price wise compared to my RXT purchase previously which makes this clutch an absolute steal IMO.
  13. Clutch and Flywheel

    Exedy ET04XD:headbang:
  14. Paxton 2200sl to a vortech V7 YSI

    It's a direct bolt-in.
  15. Anybody running a Paxton with 3.48 or 3.33 pulley

850whp here on 3.33 @ 7500 with headers, E85. Probably will move to a billet JT or YSi here soon so I can send it. No belt slip, even with the belt that came in the box. I drive the car daily as long as there is no winter precip. My other local Paxton compadre is running the same setup...
  16. Evil 5.0's "Orange Blossom" making 900+ on the stock engine!!

That makes two of us, lol. My plan is to take a bunch of unsprung weight out of the car and hope that helps but I'm more excited to see how it does in the bakery and 1/2 mile now that I'm geared to go fast. I also just picked up a spare MT82 just in case...
  17. Paxton 3.48 pulley

I didn't realize there were pulleys larger than 3.33"
  18. Single Walbro 450

It requires you to convert to a return style system with a return line plumber D into the GT350 hat, a regulator, and wiring to power the pumps.
  19. People with a mt82 and supercharger

I'd figure out where you want to be RPM wise and trap speed wise in the 1/4 and gear accordingly. I want to trap around 7500 RPM with a 28" tire in 4th. Depending on your power level that would be 3.55's, 3.31's, or 3.15's. I went with 3.15's but mostly because I do a lot of roll racing...
  20. Don't you just love it...............

I went from absolute death trap with 3.73's, to controllable hooning and 3.15's.
