  1. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

If this was caused by stepping on it, you wouldn't be seeing this anomaly uniformly across the whole rocker panel. I stand by that this is caused by the GT500 generating 230 kilowatts of engine heat and 100 kilowatts of heat from the front brakes. The lack of a fender vent, and the CFD showing...
  2. Blown GT350 Motors- 13 cases from Youtube

Yay more hysteria threads. https://thesoundofvoodoo.com/articles/gt350-engine-failure-by-the-numbers/ I've been through 2 engine replacements. 1. Oil was checked every 250 miles and logged in an Excel for tracking. 2. I did my own oil changes with AMSOIL. 3. Methodical break in for the...
  3. Interesting read in new GT500 Owner's Supplement

2019 GT350 Supplement: "Use Motorcraft SAE 5W-50 full synthetic or an equivalent SAE 5W-50 full synthetic oil meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C931-C." Page 29 "Your engine has been designed to use engine oil that meets our specification or an equivalent engine oil of the recommended viscosity...
  4. 2019+ Voodoo Changes

That is odd. All I can think is a very early build 2019, a pre-2019 engine or a goof.
  5. Interesting read in new GT500 Owner's Supplement

You're right, there is an interesting new statement in the 2020 GT350 Supplement...that directly goes against people using any ol' 5w50 oil. "Oil must meet specification WSS-M2C931-C or use SAE 5W-50 oil that meet API SN requirements." The only reason the "or use SAE 5W-50 oil that meet API SN...
  6. Interesting read in new GT500 Owner's Supplement

The owners supplement has always stated that 5w50 API certified equivalent oils are acceptable. "Your engine has been designed to use engine oil that meets our specification or an equivalent engine oil of the recommended viscosity grade that displays the API Certification Mark for gasoline...

  8. So fender vents were considered...

Pretty upsetting that they dropped them from production. The GT500 has a pretty boring side profile. These would have given it looks to kill from every angle.
  9. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

The side splitters appear to be standalone from the generic S550 rocker molding but I could be wrong. But even then the plastic material would be the same as what's used on other S550 models.
  10. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

No S550 is generating 230 kilowatts of engine heat and 100 kilowatts of heat from the front brakes. Stepping on the rocker molding would surely start separating it from the chassis but it is not going to cause a wavy deformation in the plastic.
  11. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

I would agree if they were GT500 specific parts (like the new side splitters) but these are generic S550 Mustang parts.
  12. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Go to another dealer, don't waste your time with a dealer that has no idea what they are talking about.
  13. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

If people were stepping on it, it would have just broke off. Would stepping on it causing them to turn wavy, no. Intense heat coming out of the engine bay and front wheel wells that is likely heating up the plastic moldings causing them to deform, yes.
  14. First GT500 Issue? Rocker Moldings Melting

Something I noticed on every car at GT500 Track Tour was that the rocker molding looked like it was exposed to high temperatures. Every car I seen had rocker moldings that looked wavy and in some causes started to separate from the car. Thoughts? Hopefully Ford can correct this before it...

  18. Chevy copies Ford

Chevy's approach to the FPC is what's "copying" Ford. They are taking a page out of the Voodoo's playbook by making their FPC sound more American. While the Chevy FPC will steal the largest naturally aspirated FPC V8 crown, the Voodoo is still the most unique FPC V8 and is backed by a manual.
  19. 20" wheels too large for the s550?

20s come standard on the GT500.
  20. Ford Performance turn around

It can take a day or up to a week depending on the volume of requests.
