i've averaged right around 20mpg since I bought the car according to "trip 2." Mostly city driving with about 35% highway in 1100 miles. Manual with 3:55 gears and I put in 92 octane. I expect it will improve slightly with more break in. Not too bad for a 435hp car :ford:
Also, when just...
Had cleaned the car up for a local meet up, so I figured I'd try my hand at some evening photos. Will have to drive a little further for a better backdrop next time. The Olympics were enveloped in clouds today, so not great. I love how warm this color is when the light is behind me. Is it just...
Here are a couple more from later in the day. mswift5 your car is looking good. Very nice meeting everyone yesterday. I'll have to try and have a modification or two for the next meet up
Since you say you can afford it and you just received this diagnosis Friday, don't make any major decisions like this until you have had some time to process things... Several months. It's something that you enjoy. Those kinds of things are important.. More important than doing the "responsible"...
The car is improved in every measurable way as far as I'm concerned. Extremely composed in the corners. There is a decreasing radius on-ramp to get on the highway here in Lake Forest Park and you can just keep feeding in the power. Car remains flat with excellent feedback and you can easily be...
Good thread. Everyone loves to talk about their personal plans for their particular car. One strength of the mustang is it's potential for "customization."
I've owned a few of these cars and as I go along (get older) I find that I appreciate more the compromises the OEM engineers...
Tony.. Have you (you most likely have) checked the frpp x-pipe with resonator delete vid? To me that seems to add just enough muscle. I'm waiting for a while to see if the car gets a bit "more powerful" sounding after some driving. (Still only 600 miles)
I love how the x-pipe seems to smooth...
I have a base GT and I don't think the stereo is all that good. Not much punch, but then I didn't expect it to be terrific and don't really care. If you want lots of bass you'll need an amp and better speakers. I think trunk mounted subs are pretty much unnecessary in a car.. Just so you know...
When I bought this new 2015, I drove both the manual and automatic.. I was curious about the paddle shifters. (Which I thought worked very well btw) I have owned 3 2011 cars.. two with manuals and one with an auto. The auto had 3.15 gears and one of the manuals 3.73s. I'm mildly ashamed to say I...
I really enjoy your videos and agree with many of your observations on the history of the pony car. The engine in the '62 prototype was actually a 1500cc german v-4. Pretty cool.
I'm an enthusiast who has enjoyed every version of the mustang.. even the Mustang II. I had a friend in high school...
No you're not. Love that look. I can see when I go with 285s on the back I'm gonna need mud flaps. Hope they offer some like last generation gt500 mud flaps. They were just enough and not to "trucky."
