  1. Lunds MY18 manual gets 430/401 SAE corrected

Reminds me of my old pullied '03 Cobra. It made much more power, but it's powerband was similar. It felt you could take it to 6500 no problem, felt strong. The dyno graph also showed it nosediving above 6000 due to heat from the blower. Tinkering with the shift points netted a 2.5 mph gain in...
  2. 2018 Dyno discussion

Most of the hp calculators assume a normal shaped hp graph. The GEN III Coyote has an unusually flat and long hp curve at the top end, resulting in more hp area under the curve compared to other engines making the same peak rwhp.
  3. 2018 Mustang Automatic Dyno at JDM Engineering

LOL I'll take SAE's scientific method of certifying and rating an engine vs random internet dyno runs. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe power drivetrain losses may not necessarily be straight percentages? There are just too many variables to list.
  4. 2018 Mustang Automatic Dyno at JDM Engineering

It doesn't make more than advertised.
  5. 2018 Mustang Automatic Dyno at JDM Engineering

No it's not. SAE Certification makes for very small tolerances with engines having to be make +-1% of their advertised power. There is very little wiggle room. Read it for yourself if you don't believe it.
  6. 2018 Mustang Automatic Dyno at JDM Engineering

Is the 425 rwhp reading at the spike at the end of the run? If so, seems to make closer to 420 rwhp at the true peak. Still impressive. I would like to see a clean run to its redline.
  7. Official: 2018 Ford Mustang Refresh Detailed! (Options/Features, Specs, Photos, Info)

Too bad they don't post the graph or the actual correction factor at all.
  8. LMR 2018 Mustang GT Auto PP1 Dyno numbers (VIDEO W/CHART!!)

Ford has certified most of their engines, but not the GEN III Coyote
  9. LMR 2018 Mustang GT Auto PP1 Dyno numbers (VIDEO W/CHART!!)

We just have to wait for more data before feeling comfortable one way or another.
  10. LMR 2018 Mustang GT Auto PP1 Dyno numbers (VIDEO W/CHART!!)

Well, in a somewhat surprising twist, it does not appear the newest Gen III Coyote 5.0 has been SAE Certified... http://www.sae.org/certifiedpower/data/
  11. Official: Stock 2018 Mustang GT Goes 12.0 In The 1/4 Mile - LMR.com

Well kinda. I don't think Ford really planned an '18 GT350, but people wanted it so they went with it. IMO The weirder overlap is the ZL1 and Grand Sport.
  12. Official: Stock 2018 Mustang GT Goes 12.0 In The 1/4 Mile - LMR.com

+1 If the GEN III Coyote is SAE Certified, it's certified to make +-1% of its rated power. There isn't any wiggle room in there, otherwise it would lose it's certification.
  13. So excited about the Performance Pack Level 2

I agree, the stuff is garbage. I've had it in a few cars now, I can't believe it's passed off as a premium product when it definitely is not.
  14. What the F just happened to me?

A big part of the problem is the liability on your part if you keep following. If the dummy decides to run a red light and kills someone, you can be certain you will be rolled up in a lawsuit for "causing" the fiasco. It's just the litigious society we live in nowadays. Also, if you keep...
  15. Official: Stock 2018 Mustang GT 10 Speed Auto Performance Pack Weight - LMR.com

And which cars are you saying are comparable? This includes comparable crash ratings too.
  16. So excited about the Performance Pack Level 2

The 1LE is a great performer. Too bad it looks and sounds like sh!t. The Mustang interior is better and the vehicle is more useable too. The GT350 seems to be the answer that combines each of their strengths, I can see why it's considered the ultimate pony car still.
  17. WHy is there a Mach1 section but not a Bullitt section?

Because Mach1 is of a different pedigree built on heritage. Bullitt Mustang's are a money grab model same as a Transformers edition camaro. Not nearly the same.
  18. Official: 2018 Ford Mustang Refresh Detailed! (Options/Features, Specs, Photos, Info)

I hope they don't waste their time on such a silly trim/model. They need to do it right and come out with a Mach 1 and leave the silly non-heritage money grabber models alone.
  19. Insurance did NOT raise as much as I expected

    So, what insurance company?
  20. Revved near 8000rpm

I had a friend who mis-shifted the same way about 10 years ago in his LS1 TA. The car drove perfectly afterwards until a week later the bottom end just took a dump enexpectedly. Good luck.
