I've seen a lot of them in San Jose, I'm surprised by how semi-common they've been. I've seen more if them than last gen GT500's it feels like. There's a black R in the foothills that I KNOW was purchased for $128k. The kicker was that it was driven by an 18 year old. Probably a graduation...
If you don't mind compromising and down grading on looks, sound, and overall utility in the regular use of the car (blind spots, trunk size, rear seat room, interior layout), then the 1LE is probably the way to go.
Did you even see the quote I was responding to from w3rkn??
"Ironically, I look down upon people who drive a Camaro, over a Vette, because at least a Vette has more visibility than someone willing to compromise their safety."
I thought it was silly of him to harp the importance of safety...
I remember a lot of people complaining that they did not want that to happen, but I don't recall anyone actually going into limp mode on the street. There may have been one or two tho.
Can you post the link of the head to head between the GT350 VS 1LE please. I've searched for it but can't find it. I dont think anybody would just make that statement up. Thx.
The Cobras from 96+ we're very competitive at the time. They weren't necessarily whooping the competition, but they were competitive. Nothing I would consider "embarrassing".
Cool, I'll have to redo the overlays. I doubt it'll be much different, but it's always good to have the correct data.
As for that second link, are you sure that's a graph of a 2018? Is it a manual 15 vs auto 18? I haven't seen any 18's nosedive like that before 7000 rpm.
Ok, I have some overlayed dyno graphs for you guys. I had to guesstimate the 6800-7400 rpm portion of the 2018 graph (dashed lines) due to no actual graph existing past 6800 rpm
