I've done the math....the system would pay for itself in a year for me assuming I always used e85......its not really gonna save you money but in the end it makes it a cheap if not costless boost in horsepower.
Nice! Looks like I received my harness today, but I'm taking my car in for warranty repair of the air conditioning Friday so I'm going to wait to install it as I have everything back to stock at the moment. I'll let you guys know next week how the system works for me, and hope to see a couple of...
These problems may or may not be related, but as the temperatures have risen, I've noticed that my AC blows cold air on and off. Driving 2 hours today It would blow cold for like 20 min, then blow warm for 10 or 15 min, then come back on for 20 min for the drive out of town and back, and it's...
Damn that's a bad day....I think they didnt make the oil system improvements until 17...I remember reading about some of the 16s losing oil on track days....and/or overheating. Hopefully it's an easy fix
I'm going to be patient and trust they will come up with a legitimate fix that will make the unit operate as advertised. As for Flatplane, I completely removed the system with 36% ethanol still in the tank, drove it to redline multiple times, did triple digits, and the stock systems were able to...
That's what I was thinking....or its just not really working. Remember I drove on a 7/8 tank of e85 for 110 miles and close to 0 noticeable symptoms and one lean code with basically no functioning unit. I think the ford ecu is just adjusting, and at lower levels of ethanol it handles it. So...
Yeah that's a little strange. I wonder what's goin on. I wonder if timing has anything to do with it, because you did notice a change after your workaround.
It is for me...not every shift but some of the time. As I've diluted the E60 with more gas I've gotten more pops all around(back to normal), but with the e60 every once in awhile I would get this awkward backfire pop after a gear change. It wasnt the normal one I was used to....it almost had a...
I have the delete....just a straight pipe replacing it. My car pops a lot on normal gas. In gear changes, feathering the throttle in RPM descent etc...
Hey thanks for all the info and all your work man. Awesome to have a few guys on a forum fix a problem for a company and other owners. I'll message them today and make sure they throw the new harness in! Til then I'll just run gas.
Talked to AFD today. They attribute the issues to a limited manufacturing process defect that likely overheated the chip on a batch of GT350 commanders. They already QA'd the process, made changes and will be sending another out. Sounds like the replacement version has worked for other customers...
AFD is sending me a new one as well. Likely a small bad batch. Even if you filled up with e85 once without any proflex installed, itd be unlikely you would cause any long term damage from doing it once. You wont know if yours is working or not til you try is all.
Well, my scanner is about to get here and my code cleared itself driving to work and back last night after diluting to 36% with the commander unit still installed. I feel that should tell you it's not working right regardless....but I was hoping to plug in while the code was still up. Seems like...
