  1. NEED HELP-DSS aluminum one piece driveshaft (Vibration)

Mods should sticky post #2. Lots of great info there. Thanks Unas2k5.
  2. Rev Matching jerk

Just leave rev matching on, they built that in because most people can't rev match. How often do you have your clutches replaced?
  3. Rev Matching jerk

Ok.. You know how when you're slowly working the clutch out, and the revs come up to match speed? That's why. You're making your momentum pull the engine up to speed, that's what you're feeling (the jerk). Before automatic rev matching people used to blip throttle on downshifts to bring the...
  4. Rev Matching jerk

Is this a serious question? Or are you mocking a buddy?
  5. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

With E85 you can run hotter before worrying about detonation (knock). Won't see much change in the IAT2, EGTs will go down a bit though.
  6. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

That's a killer deal! I purchased this car with the kit installed, pretty sure it was traded/sold due to the heat soak issue. I got the car priced not much above local market pricing for NA mustangs with similar mileage and options (premium car). At some point it had other suspension mods and...
  7. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Watchman, you took some time in your response so I'd like to return the diligent courtesy and address your points one by one inside the quote below: Mike, after spending a bunch of money to make sure the car didn't blow up (OPGs, CS, tensioners, chains etc) while getting a new clutch...
  8. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

That's what I was looking for. Thanks Mike. Knowing I don't have a problem besides the wrong kit is some peace of mind. Regarding E85, I've got a lower compression (aluminator) block and average about 14MPG on 93. I can get E85 around me pretty easily, but I wouldn't be able to get out of...
  9. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Thanks for the quick feedback! I used to live in WPB area of Florida. Summer time here is like that half hour after the 1PM shower when the sun comes out, but 20-30 degrees hotter, and all damn day. Moved to DFW in April and as summer hit, I was so pissed seeing the night-time lows in the 90s...
  10. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Seems like the best spot for it... For those who don't have an IC Chiller or similar setup; what's your "normal" IAT2 readings? Past summer my car was approaching 180s°F when in school pick-up lines etc, and in the fall I realized there was very little movement of the water in the chargers...
  11. S550 wheel width for 315

You're probably going to have rubbing issues being lowered, pushing limit of the width that will fit, and on top of that increasing diameter almost 2 inches. That 10mm tread width increase won't even be realized. If you want it to fit and they don't have a 315 30 option, when the wheel rubs that...
  12. S550 wheel width for 315

Why are you adamant about the aspect number being 35? I'm running 305/35/20 and it's over an inch taller than "stock height", but as I had mentioned before, I preferred the look and feel of 19s, that's why I chose not to go to a 30 aspect. You're going even taller.. 315/30 will still be taller...
  13. S550 wheel width for 315

It is... I preferred the look and feel of 19s but tire selection sucks, so I traded for 20s. 3x the tire selection at 2/3 the price lol. Finding 200TW all seasons will still be a challenge.. ;)
  14. RPM keeps climbing with no throttle?

Seems silly but make sure the floor mat isn't resting on the bottom of the pedal, and confirm that ECU detects when you clutch in. In the VW world the upper clutch position sensor would fail and since the ECU does so much driving for us now, it goes stupid if it doesn't know the clutch was...
  15. Question for guys who actually have the the Roush Kit

Mine blew up on stock kit/stock tune. Cracked #5 cylinder bore/liner. Happened on a 2nd attempt to make a pull after finally breaking in the clutch, which was done along with OPGs and CS, you know, trying to make sure I didn't blow it up...
  16. True dual exhaust

The trucks do have a different firing order. Something about running cooler... should've read more into that as I'm curious now...
  17. Can a manual transmission be damaged if forced backwards while in 1st gear?

If there were no codes or anything it's probably okay..
  18. Can a manual transmission be damaged if forced backwards while in 1st gear?

Only read page 1 and 3 but I'd be more concerned if the engine was turned backwards than transmission. Maybe have the timing checked covered by insurance.
  19. Short Throw Shifter

Pick the one you like the looks of better between MGW and Barton basically... if you're installing it yourself, apparently the MGW is a bit less of a PITA to mount.
  20. First Start E85-16lbs Smoothboost & IW

Doesn't really eliminate it, unless you program it to. More you don't HAVE to have it all right away, but you still could if wanted to.
