My Mustang actually hooks decent on my 20s at around 600whp, but that's only in 3rd and 4th gears. It has the Fullway HP 108s which I heard from the Dodge Hell Cat camp were decent street tires. When I was stock, these same tires got me 1.9 60 fts at the track. Not too shabby IMO. If you dial...
So much easier doing
On a single disc car, this might be easier but man, it's a pain stabbing the trans on the engine even with the engine out of the car with a twin or triple disc clutch. I absolutely hate doing it. It's a pain in the ass. I can't imagine doing it in the car by manipulating...
I still have a DSM!...lol. I know you give me shit about it all the time but they have a non-DSM build section so that's why I did it on there...and the S197 board is really dry so I may as well do it where I am documenting my other build. I think my old F150 truck is the only one I didn't...
Yeah, been slowly dialing in my 14GT. My build thread is here. Maybe it's your suspension setup? What do you have? 325 is a big tire but I have heard mixed reviews about it on the street. Some seem to prefer the PBR. I run QTPs but don't really get on it in 1st and 2nd on the street since...
I have built fuel lines for 3 different vehicles using PTFE lined hose, I always use hardware scissors or tin snips?? that you can buy from Harbor Freight. Works perfectly and I have used them from -4AN all the way to -12AN. Don't use cutoff wheels here. I only use those when dealing with yucky...
Don't do it. This is coming from someone who did what you're about to do. I would start purchasing forced induction goodies, especially the supporting mods, like fuel system etc....then get the turbo kit last. As mentioned, if you don't plan to replace the engine, don't even start with the madness.
Hey bro. I have a 5.2 block with Gen 1 heads here. You can use the ARP 256-4702 head studs. There's a few points you need to note during the install process though.
It was perfectly fine to install the pump as is, but you would want to pre-prime the engine with engine oil before 1st startup. Still a good idea now as it can expose any leaks you have.
I run QTPs on my car and I have to run them really low on pressure to somewhat hook in 3rd and 4th on the street. I may be trying MT ETRs next year though.
On my old truck w/10R80, I ran 28" Hoosier DBR. Those were fantastic!
Very popular wheel with imports. Enkei is JDM and have very high quality wheels. I run import wheels on my Mustang (street 20s) and my Mitisubishi (EVO Enkeis) but also love RPF1s. Been itching to put a set on my Eclipse. I just don't like the width/offset for the 17s for my car. Looks awesome...
I ran them in my Whipple truck (22 F150) for about 10,000 miles and one finally started melting and I got a code. I ended up installing a catless y pipe but I sold my truck shortly afterwards (nothing related to it.) This was a Gen 5 whipple with a 3.0 pulley daily driven'ish truck making 900whp+.
I know this is different but this is my old Gen 5 Whipple truck. It didn't sound much at lower boost but turned up a little, you could hear it. Also, you having headers and Corsa extremes does not help lol.
