Ca you ask for a zone rep to come and look at the car? When my Z06 motor grenaded a month out of warranty, I did get the zone rep to come. After much harangue......
Was the trans leaking oil at the input shaft? If so, an argument could be made that the damaged trans leaked oil into the clutch, causing contamination/damage. That’s not wear and tear, it’s collateral damage.
So let’s say clutch failure happens. I had not read a post that said the trans locked up. Instead It sounds like the early symptom of clutch failure was responsible for the difficulty in shifting into reverse? That would be my guess. So then the car is still ok to drive on a race track...
Wow this is painful to watch. The fact that Ford sells this data and also makes it basically brain dead (because they only constrain on color options) is just wrong. How hard can it be for Ford to put the data into a spreadsheet like the one @corrieb maintains and let people filter it...
Regarding the door rattle, I think somebody over on the GT500 forum had this issue and it was the plastic riveting holding the panel components together. Rivets were not tight, assembled incorrectly.
I guess I’m not seeing how the trans affected the clutch. Disclaimer: My trans/clutch grease monkey days were from the single disc/Muncie era so my knowledge may be obsolete, but here goes.
Reverse was not synchronized on my Muncie box, so if you had a weak/failing clutch, shifting into reverse...
Whoa, my bad! I was looking at 2680 (Non-R HEP spreadsheet page). You are right,, 2689 is going to Old Bridge NJ. That's ~75 mins from my house, so I'm boots on the ground if someone wants me to eyeball it.
Serves me right for playing in Excel after a long day at work and two 0.5L bottles of...
Congrats! No, I am not aware of a good shipping company. Because I fly a lot for work, I have more frequent flier miles than I can use. I had found a Rapid Red Gt350 I wanted in Miami. Plan was to fly and drive, would have been a fun trip from FL, back home to PA. Late in negotiations...
Car ordered by Golf Mill Motor Sales, in Niles, IL.
@corrieb , for your registry, that same dealer already has GT350R HEP, VIN 1825, Chassis LR143.
FYI, they have a 20K ADM on VIN 1825
Hi anacar-Can you find your car on the VIN tracking spreadsheet? Since you know the dealer and what car you ordered (R or non-R) and your choices for options, you should be able to find it on the tracking spreadsheet.
I found out my vehicle's VIN because I put a filter on the spreadsheet and...
Hi Viz,
Welcome aboard, sorry it's not under happier circumstances. I read your post and put a filter on the GT350 VIN tracker web sheet maintained on this site by our outstanding member "corrieb".
The latest version was updated on 25 September. Corrieb usually updates it about once a week...
VUDU, can you please post the link to the YouTube video? I pick my car up[ in two weeks and want to make sure the handling package is set up correctly.
Ok Jake, I think that's enough. You've made 1,759 posts on this site. Looking back at your history, you made one (1) post to the GT350 forum on May 1, 2019. Then, in the past 24 hours, you've made 15 posts (to this single topic) on the GT350 forum.
Those stats seem to indicate you're not...
Can he move to Luxembourg and just do Belgium on the weekends? I did a Battle of the Bulge tour in Belgium a few winters back, had a wonderful time. I do recall that in Luxembourg there were about 20 gas stations right in a row, just inside the border from Belgium. Lower taxes I presume?
