Built 10/22; delivered by 11/7 Wow! just woke up this AM and logged in...apparently my GT was built 10/22, and will ship - or - be delivered by 11/7. Can I expect it 11/7 or is that when it is shipped?

My kids already named it...its Ruby Red so it's Lightening McQueen....guess where the name came from? So far, they name all the Mustangs we've had L.M. Sounds fine to me.

I ordered 5/27. GT 401A Premium Ruby Red, Auto, Spare Tire, Spoiler Delete, 19" premium wheels Don't hate...but I JUST GOT A VIN ASSIGNED. No build date yet, but at least a VIN. I'm to assume this means production will be scheduled?

Also, still no VIN assigned. I ordered 5/27/14. I contact the dealer once a week and its usually "in a few weeks" they will show VIN, etc. Is this what you guys are seeing? Middle of Sept and I feel like it will be Jan with 2 foot of snow before its ready... FYI -- I show priority 10 on...

I too wanted Grabber Blue...would have paid extra for it....

Ordered May 27. Priority 10. No VIN, no build. I call the dealer each week and log into COTUS. Patience wearing thin!!!!!!!!! :frusty:

The rollout is later than normal ... any ideas on what overall 2015MY volumes might be considering a 2016 would start hitting dealerships in Aug-Sept next year? Or, is it a mute point? Just curious what thoughts might be on this.

I get it...yea, I can order for current and transfer...but in IL that's huge $$$. Can't reserve plates in IL...MUST have VIN...I just checked their website.

Old 5 oh, How do you order plates for a car you don't have? At least in IL, you have to have a car (VIN) to bolt them to already. Is CA different? I have to ask! :shrug:

Ordered the 19" Premium Paint wheels, option 648 I do believe. Only avail on 400 and 401 models, so should be fairly exclusive. And, can still get spare tire, which I did.

The issue I have with this, and all newer cars, is the ability to know the speed of a crash, seatbelt use, etc. To me, this is a privacy issue. I can avoid it by not buying it, but I want the car. We have a GM vehicle in our "fleet" and one of the first things I did was disconnect the OnStar...

Great question and good find....I'd expect a CD player in the car as well. Not all my tunes are iTunes or on a "stick". :headbang:

UPDATE: Though I checked my revised order at the dealer and all looked good, as i drank my morning coffee today I noticed the 13D SPOILER DELETE was missing! There should have been no change to this to just add new wheels. I contacted the dealer and am waiting for a reply. Odd. Makes no sense...

Success! I added code 648 19" premium wheels to my order, and kept the spare tire/wheel option. We will do longer cross - country drives and need me some insurance....and the nice wheels to go with it.

I just wish it was here sooner.........

Great info. Glad I asked. I emailed my dealer and will stop out in a day or two...will update all on how it went to change my order. Just what I needed...to add another $1,000 to my bill. But, I want those wheels.

I ordered my 15 GT Prem on May 27. I am well beyond the 7 day window my dealer told me that changes could be made. I think i want to add option 648 -- 19 inch premium wheels over the stock 18" wheels. Before I contact them, has anyone else done this? Any thoughts on the matter? I would...
