I am dead serious about class action lawsuit. I'm going to fight tooth and nail for a buy back. Based on stories I'm reading here, most likely Ford RAV will stick to the letter of the Lemon Law and deny me. In which case, I will consult a lawyer. If there are legal ground for class action, I...
We don't know how many are affected. My guess it's a lot. But if we don't publicize what's going on with us, how would we know? Ford lost a major class action lawsuit and was forced to do buybacks (see link below). If no one talked about what they were going through, the problem would've been...
Another reason is Ford wants to avoid triggering the Lemon Law at all costs. They know that car dealer mechanics will take more time to disassemble the engine, order the faulty parts, and then re-assemble and test. And they know the dealer mechanics may take longer times to get to the car with...
Ford has been consistent in not letting dealer service centers do any major repairs to the Voodoo. They just ship a new engine. The question that we owners have to confront is, what happens when they stop making replacement engines since this is the last model year for the Voodoo? Can the dealer...
Andrew, you have all the right to be upset and no one should attack you. With tax and fees, I bet you paid $85K+. I paid $73K for mine out the door with tax and fees, and I had to drive 240 miles to another dealer in CA to avoid greedy dealers in Southern CA trying to gouge me 10K+ over sticker...
Jeff, any reasonable person whose new 2020 GT350 fails with almost identical circumstances and cause as many others on this forum and social media would reach a conclusion that there are major quality issues with the valve train on the latest 2020 GT350. This is not a massively produced car with...
I did post my car pictures in my thread, including the tow picture. In fact, it's me in the driver seat in the first picture picking up the car from the dealer. The guy in the passenger seat is the salesman telling me about its features and how to set up bluetooth with my phone.
What happened...
InTheHighDesert, may be it's hard to believe that the 2020 GT350's are having these major issues. I don't blame you. But I wouldn't rush to accuse others of making things up. I can assure you and others on this forum that this happened to me, I am not impersonating any other accounts, and I do...
Of course I am.
And why should I put the VIN number of my privately owned car that I paid tons of money for in a public forum? To prove that I'm not lying? Why would I lie? I posted my story here to warn others of what's going on with the 2020 GT350 engines, to add my voice to those who are...
Kevin, I agree! We should track these failures in a sticky thread. This is class action lawsuit material and cause for NHTSA complaints. What if the engine siezes while you're passing or taking a fast turn? It could cause death/injury to you and/or others.
Andrew, I agree. IMO Ford should issue a recall for these cars. Based on this thread, it started happening late 2019:

Ford must be aware of the rampant problems on the 2020 engines. On the same dealer where I'm...
Based on my CarFax report, the build date is mid July 2020. I don't think the build date has to do with these issues. It seems that it's affecting 2020 cars throught the year. The earliest story I read here happened in late 2019 for a MY 2020 car.
Jeff, I'll happily provide my VIN to the admin my VIN. My story is true. Ford has a big problem on their hand with the 2020 models.
New 2020 GT350 HEP engine failure
Tom, the issue here is that Ford does not want the dealer service center to do any further disassembly of the engine. They were only authorized to take off the top covers and take pictures of the timing and valve mechanism and see what's broken. The service rep told me they are not allowed to do...
Thanks DrumReaper. What I mean by white glove treatment is no tracking, no launching, just sporadic rev takes when the car is normal operating temperature, maxing at about 7.5K, but no extended revving. I followed the breaking in procedures and I'm aware that we shouldn't thrash the car hard (or...
My brand new GT350 Heritage Edition with 24 days of ownership and only 728 miles on it had engine failure and needs the whole long block engine replaced.
I bought it a brand new from a dealership showroom with 8 miles on it. I liked the looks so much that I wanted to preserve it and I invested...
