We are about 2-3weeks from releasing them.
However even though the 18s will clear these brakes 18s will not clear the oem rear.
The rear AP setup will be coming out later this year.
I highly reccomend getting a used take off set of the GT PP brembos. I can then get you SS lines, fluid, Ferodo pads and 2 piece discs if you wish.
The offerings for the GT/EB PP caliper are slim. With the GT PP Brembo setup you won't be disappointed.
Issue is a bad casting.
That hole drilled is more than likely just as deep as any other 350 block.
When the block was cast, material didn't make it there causing a void. And here we are.
I'd reccomend the Ferodo DSUNO up front. From my testing the front pads wear 2-3 times faster than the rear. So upgrading the fronts are definetly worth your while.
The oem pads seems to be a Ferodo DS2500 from what I have seen on my car. They are a very good pad but are not meant for dedicated track use. For cars over 3000lbs or so I don't reccomend the DS2500 as a track pad but only as a street pad.
The reasoning is the operating temperature and pad...
I saw that tractive setup as well. That's not bad when you compare it to what a pro coil over setup costs.
Do you know if this can be uninstalled if you wanted to?
Also curious on how this affects longevity of he dampers.
This problem stemmed from the Takata, Bride and other 4 point harnesses that are cheaper which do not have anti submarine technology. Running those harnesses are actually worse than oem.
You wouldn't catch me dead in a 4 point unless it had ASM. This is why Schroth works so well because it...
If you like the Schroth Quickfit then just keep that on its own.
If you want to put in a roll bar I'd reccomend putting in a race seat and a 6 point schroth harness with a HANS device.
It looks like they left it exposed for marketing.
If I were to go through the trouble of all this I would paint it all, I've never been a fan of exposed CF.
Brake ducting has been blown out of proportion for this car, primarily for the GT PP.
Ford chose to use a 15" disc and 6 piston caliper for more than looks. Not only does this combo allow for more pad/disc surface area but it also gives you tons of thermal mass. Thus making it very hard to...
Yup because the oem pads are a Ferodo DS2500. They work very well.
They just require more pedal pressure and will wear faster than a Ferodo DSUNO is Ferodo DS1.11.
I've been there. Over the years I've gone back and forth between Carbotech/GLOC and Ferodo.
The only reason why I went GLOC on my GT350 this time was because Ferodo didn't have anything yet. I had zero confidence in the brakes. They are very sensitive and I can tell you that if they are not bed...
