I'm thinking about one of these kits and I have some basic questions that I'm sure you guys know.
Can they be used with a GT350 Intake manifold including the GT350 airbox?
What are the HP/torque limits of the factory engine?
I'm was considering buying the necessary parts for torque boosting...
One of the problems you have with performance quotes is that mostly they’re talking about the peak figure of power only and the ridiculous thing is that torque is not mentioned at all!? The factory headers will have a slight advantage in torque just off idle but the gains after that with both...
When you say "Valve Closed" is it actually completely closed or is there still an opening? Anytime I've seen an engine with a firing order such as this, it sounds absolutely terrible without a balance pipe.
Did you look into that Switchpath one Rspec? If it's just a valve to shut the h-pipe it would sound absolutely disgusting with it shut. I think you made the right choice! Engines with this firing order cannot run without a balance pipe of some sort!
Remember also that oil to water devices are not just coolers. As water is the fastest liquid to heat(due to of course, exposure to combustion temperatures)in an engine, it actually warms the oil to a more desirable temp faster than a normal "cooler" would meaning better engine durability. Now...
Thanks man, Yeah I like them. They're off my ute so i had to ream the holes out to 14.3mm. They're a bit sticky out on the rear; 19x11 +30 will do that. If I didn't have 275's stretched over them it wouldn't work. As a consequence I have to run the car very low so they radius in more. Still...
That was probably me. Mine was noisy in the first moment I moved off when i picked it up. It was noisy in all gears though, not like yours and got worse with temp and miles. My dealer expected it to get fobbed off by Ford and after two visits to the dealer I thought it was. The dealer was going...
Work CR2P, 19x9+30 245's and 19x11+30 275's. Had these on my ute so I reamed the bolt holes for the 14mm studs and away they go. A bit sticky outy on the rear but if I run low they radius in nicely but in reality not enough(at least for proper width tyres). That's all aired out btw..
