Todays gas stinks, back in the 70's it smelled wonderful. Almost like todays race gas.
I can't believe with no cats you don't get fumes in the cabin, I have cats and if I go WOT I smell the cats in the car. First time I thought they were burning out, but found out it is normal.
Got a 2025 gt as a rental, I hate the dash and the outside did not grow on me. My 17 blows it away in style handling and performance. I do have Steeda parts and my custom tune so not apples to apples. The dash is a deal breaker for any other mustang buy from me. Ford lost a customer.
Boosted and rotten egg smell = cats going bad. If you daily I would look at going with high quality cats, like GT500, Ferrari, Lambo or ???. If not a daily, remove them and live with the smell. Seems like the design pulls a vacuum and exhaust gets pulled into the cabin, most noticeable when at...
@engineermike Did some testing and if I remember correctly his made more power with cats. Probably tuning related but it's a head scratcher. If track only I would lose the cats for piece of mind. On the street I'd keep them. I can smell a catless car for a mile.
Many years ago I was in a test dyno run on a gen 1 F150 running pump e85. I don't know what it tested at but the shop wanted to find the knock point. They added almost 50 degrees of advance and it would not knock, at least none that the knock sensors could pick up. I know not the same engine but...
I have never seen an actual Wengerd tune so this may not apply;
If it will knock with with fuel below E70, the ign timing is over advanced.
There is a thing called MBT, too much timing and the engine fights itself.
If it will knock on E60 It is 99% over advanced, or the tuner (generic not...
I have an e85 tune for mine, I know not a gt 350, It does improve power everywhere but the loss in driving range made me put the 93 tune back in. Drops down to about 150 miles if I remember correctly. Seemed like I was hunting a fuel stop every other day.
I do have pcmtec software and it can use the sct device to flash but I'm not sure my version is capable of using that platform.
I almost am finished with the tune, I'm currently working on part throttle cam timing and it really wakes up the car. I'll post the tune here if the forum allows .hpt...
I'll give you the tune if you can find a device to flash it with. Someone in your area has either HP tuners or PcmTec software. I'm still working on getting the most out of the manifold, but honestly a stock tune with the imrc change runs fine.
This would not be easy to do without a way to pressurize the container.
Quick and dirty way to find out is; when the car is reading 245, or whatever, shoot the top of the radiator with a laser temp reader. If it is close to 245 then it is reading correctly. Could aim it at the front of the...

This is the harness I use. Have had it several years no issues.
Tuning costs have gone crazy. 5 star used to be 150 now 300.
You will need to use imrc adapters. I'm using the 2018 CAI. I am considering trying the gt350 cai just to see what happens. It is sitting on a shelf in my garage.
I might try the 2017 cai but the problem becomes getting the curve to 1 to 2% so as to have creditable results
It does need a tune to work. This is the table and info needed. any tuner can do this. I would also use the cam specs I listed above.
HP tuners IMRC/CMCV table needs to read these numbers
