These for a start...20x9.5+25 20x11+52 Work CV202 copper centre(Unobtainium straight after I ordered them) which is why I won't buy Work wheels again! no fucken spares!?!?
Ok I've been driving it now for a coupla weeks with just the poxy necked down factory exhaust connectors still in place so they're only about 2 1/8" diameter. Interestingly it took about an hour of driving to set a cat efficiency light.
First thing to note...it's too loud! 2nd... the high...
Thanks for the quick reply Jack!
Well I know the Pro-M ECU is configurable for 10cyl and it's Spanish Oak based so I could probably go that way.
Or maybe theres's good recal. support for a '17 6.8L Super duty PCM so I could come at from that way. An aftermarket ECU is not the way I need to go...
Hello,
Is this ECU capable of controlling other engines of different types?
For example a 10cyl engine without VCT? Could the VCT drivers be reconfigured for two more coils and injectors?
cheers
Well I took the car back and Ford are calling this noise The Typewriter tick. They say it has no effect on durability, but then they would say that. So I’m going to stick a borescope down it at the very least.
Yep. Strange thing about it is that it's been making this noise for quite a long time and I really did think it was a header flange leak and because the hoist wasn't in operation I was leaving it till I got the hoist up again. And there seems to be no lack of performance or anything tell tales...
Well it looks like I'll be paying a visit to the dealer....seems like the tick is a rather serious internal noise. doesn't do it when dead cold but within minutes of warming it rattles when taking it through the 1500-2000 range even in neutral with no load but it also does same on the street...
Thanks Chris,
Well I'll go engine oiled and 8rib as a matter of course. I'll muck around with that calculator.
Yes I've done all that stuff already...I'm not getting any false knock. The Invidia exhaust doesn't touch anywhere and is, I have to say, the most beautifully made exhaust I've ever...
Thanks Bo,
Well I'm certainly not the type to go cheap straight off the bat but, I may have more pressing problems now. Sounds like the engine has a tick/rattle at light load or on the overrun when stationary:frown: It's been there awhile and coincided with the cat back exhaust so I thought it...
Thanks Chris, does the noise from the BV give you the shits?
On the basic theory with centrifugals...is there a benefit to staying with say the smaller V3 over the V7-JT/2200 if you arent going anymore than the 6-700 whp(seems to be it for 93 from what I've seen?).
Will impeller speed and/or...
you want to sell it already?? Actually, I want to use a centrifugal this time simply because I've done all the other stuff before. I just want to try it.
So what is the best performance achievable with a 2200 or V7 JT-trim with a max of 93octane fuel and will it require more than a BAP to run safe? If not, do you need a bigger pump and along with that a return style fuel system?
At this point my thoughts are....
A 2200 or V7 JT with helical...
On the fuel front, If you don't use a pump voltage booster and you change the pump instead do you need to remap the pump duty cycle in the PCM, or are you expected to go return style fuel system?
Yes, same as in Oz. Our GT’s come std with a variation of the Performance Pack. No 3.73 torsen and no Recaros (because they didn’t have right hook ones) on the 15-17 model.
