IIRC Clarkson Liked the Gt500 he took on the trip across England/Scottland. Sure he had some issues with it but nothing we hadnt heard before, tall gears, loudness etc.
I don't blame them for not putting it out right now, because you know people will be up in arms if it doesnt match their specific dyno plot on a different dyno. I aggree with Oppolock that it would be better to let some 3rd party dyno it and publish their findings
Having run a firestone for a number of years i can tell you that it would not take more than a couple of hours to find a tire in that size in any metropolitan area. Now if you live in nowehere Texas or east bumfuck Nebraska sure it may take some time. And if you do then plan ahead and order a...
Not a terrible idea but honestly PP means "Performance" Pack. Performance is subjective. Personally im happy with the brake upgrades, wheels/tires, suspension etc. I would have the 15 hp by other means anyway.
One of my favorite aspects of the PP is the upgraded radiator on the EB. Im tired...
I can understand where a lot of peoples concerns are coming from but lets be realistic here. Cars like the Z06 and M3/4 shouldnt even be mentioned here. An M3 Starts at $62,000 and for the roughly $25,000 savings i would have from a GT i can easily make it much faster and have extra money left...
Oh im not worried about aftermarket support at all. That picture cleared it up more for me thank you. Guess i couldnt get traditional style exhaust manifold out of my head. From that pic is clear you could easily remove the turbo and fit another.
why on earth would the manifold be integrated into the head? that makes no sense production wise. This would be the first car i have ever seen that has put the manifold in the head instead of independant or part of the turbo assembly.
Love those turbos. The only thing im concerned about (and i would need to see a better picture) is it looks like the turbo and manifold are integrated into one unit. I know ford does that on the the turbo 3cyl in the fiesta. So replacement turbos could be very expensive
It would depend on the supporting mods as well. If you have a full turboback , intake etc. then Slvrback hit it right on the head, it also depends on the turbo size and current boost level as well. Tunes can also be more about drivability and smoothing out the power curve rather than total HP/TQ...
OK so i know this may sound lazy but my computer at work is being a huge PITA right now. Just a QQ, will the red leather be available on the Ecoboost or not? Thank sin advance
I have to say im completely satisfied with the numbers especially the EB. I wouldnt be suprised if it puts down very close to that on the Dyno. Most of the turbo 4's out there are underrated from the factory just look at VW, Subaru, the Focus ST. Ahh im getting too excited now lol
