Yup...brand new 2017 mustang with less than 500 miles...out for a nice fall ride here in mass and BAM!! A fn acorn slams right into the hood. I kid you not that this thing almost went through the hood. I can't believe how big of a dent it left. Just put several coats of wax on her too...she was...
I can't comment on the installation but performance wise, I had a 2016 base GT that I just traded in for a 2017 GT premium with PP. only 100 miles on her so far and I am noticing the Brembos are grabbing even better than the base GT. Seems to be getting even better the more they get broken in.
I would agree that the suspension among other things gets better after a few hundred miles or so. A little off topic to your question but I also felt that the performance improved noticeably by the time the 1000 mile breaking period was over too.
Thanks...my bad...some reason I thought the horn honked if the car was running and you walk away with the fob in your pocket. I must be thinking of a different model. :headbonk:
Looks like the other requirement to retain warranty is that the parts must be purchased through an authorized Ford Performance distributor.
Warranty Registration: This Limited Warranty requires that parts must be purchased from an authorized Ford Performance Distributor and installed by an...
So I'm looking at my brand new 2017 mustang on a lift at the dealership and noticed a wavy look...bumpy look...when looking at the rocker panel from either the front or back. I also remember seeing the same thing on my 2016 gt that I just traded in. Don't have any pics right now but have any of...

I love my Ford Racing (Borla) S type exhaust for the same reasons...especially the WOT...GTFO of my way sound when you want it. I got the black chrome tips.
I'm loving this thread already! Awesome pictures and Mustangs!
I'll try to get some pictures of mine up but haven't taken delivery on her yet.
Sorry to hear about the terrible experience.
After reading through the responses, I'm also wondering then, why does the horn honk if you step too far away from the car when it is running? If it doesn't monitor the location of the fob, then what is going on?
I am planning on doing this install on my own. I have a mechanical background but would like some sort of "guide" to follow such as steps, torque values etc. For those of you that have done the job yourself, did you just wing it or was there a resource of some kind that you used...are there...
Ha...don't know what to believe anymore. This guy says it's been in the plans all the time to release at the end of the year, whereas other techs at fp have been saying October. Ugh
So quick background before I ask my question. I have or should say had, a 2016 GT base model car without performance pack. The stock brakes were great in it...barely touched the brakes and it would grab and stop quickly.
My new 2017 GT premium with performance pack was just delivered to my...
Wow those are great numbers! So if I order the stage II kit, does it now come with the new ProCharger P1 as we saw on the show? In other words, how can I order the exact kit I saw on that show? Does that kit come with new cooler spark plugs as well?
How much drop are you guys putting in your cars? I'm about to install the Ford Performance street lowering springs which drop it about an inch. I'm hoping I won't run into the same clearance issues.
Well originally COTUS showed my delivery date for today, 10/10...when I look at COTUS this morning, still shows in transit but the estimated delivery date and days left info has completely disappeared. Hoping that's a good sign but also hope that's not a bad sign either.
Update: my mustang...
I saw that episode over the weekend. Really like the new Procharger. I have been researching and considering a Whipple but after seeing the install and dyno, I'm rethinking which direction I'm going...really considering a Procharger instead. Pros and cons to both types of SC.

Whole different experience with a catback exhaust...the stock exhaust is ok but...a catback makes it a whole lot more fun...makes it sound like a muscle car should sound!
