2020+ APIM can be software changed from 4 inch to 8 inch. Did just that on my 2021. So all I had to get was a touchscreen and a bezel. Rest was done with sync3 updater and Forscan.
You have a weird idea of a good sound image. I like to have the sound coming from in front of me. You obviously have a rear music image stage. Most people set thier music stage image up so the music sounds as if it's perfectly balanced between your ears and slightly in front of you like a concert.
If you use a fuse tap the circuit needs to be sized correctly. The new circuit should only have a 5 amp fuse while the main circuit should have a 30 amp fuse. Make sure you're using the right fuse in the right part of the tap. It does not matter what circuit you use as long as it comes in with...
The extra load and spike in start up could have damaged the window control module or switch. I'd find a replacement module or switch and try that. Then move the amp turn on to another fuse. I'm not sure why people use 23 as in my 2021 I used the one for the front camera and left the amp turn on...
All of that should work out of the box with those head units. If it doesn't the head unit is bad or it's missing a communication module for the head unit to talk to the car can bus. Check with the manufacturer and check YouTube to see if there are any tricks or Forscan things that need changed.
I used a fuse tap I'm my 2021 on the front camera fuse for my 12v amp turn on and it worked fine. My 2021 has 3 fuse types though and a lot of unused fuse ports. I have found the 3 blade fuses, 2 blade normal, and 2 blade mini. I didn't have any issues with putting in a fuse tap. I'd shy away...
Everything is solid now. The redid the RCA with single left/right output then split each left and right to the front/rear left and front/rear right respectively. I also lowered the gain on the output of the DSP by -7db to eliminate the hiss and moved master volume to 95%. I then used the gain on...
The power filter didn't get rid of the hiss from the DSP. Was a long shot anyways. Emailing PRV to see if this is normal or needs replaced.
Voltages are the same as before at volume 5.
I'm gonna mess with the master volume on the DSP and then correct it with gain from the amps and see if I...
Ok, so the problem is a bit different now. I have slight static being generated by the DSP but it can only be heard at volume 0 and within an inch of the speaker.
I'm going to get a power filter for the DSP and see if I can clear that up.
I also found out that the rear channels don't produce...
I see what you're saying but the cap will still function the same in parallel. The cap is the closest most abundant power source. The two amps will pull mostly from it and in turn the battery. Capacitors do not improve or increase how much power your car with stands that is always dependent on...
Thanks for the reply. However, the APIM has the head unit software and Sync it does not route or send musical audio. ACM is what you are referring to. The power wires are - / + 4 gauge to the back of the car and -/+ 8 gauge to each device, Amp, Cap, Sub, and 16 Gauge + / - to the DSP. The power...
I have a 2021 Mustang GT 5.0L Roushcharged base model. It came with the 4in sync 3 stereo.
I have upgraded the software on the APIM to 8" and added a touch screen and toggles.
That all works fine,
The issue I'm having is I added an aftermarket:
