I'd like to see some proof that the S550 has bump steer. It's a pain to measure it with a bump steer gauge because you have to take the strut out but I don't think Ford would design it with bump steer.
I'm not really sure why lowering would change bump steer because the control arms and tie...
I just want to be sure we are talking about the same thing here. I want to know how wide the standard one is without the heel/toe extension. The stock one is 2 1/4" at the bottom and 2" at the top. If the standard one is 3/4" wider from top to bottom that would be perfect for me.
Thanks for...
Does Steeda make a gas pedal that extends the entire side of the pedal, not just the lower half? I use the side of my foot and not my heel when I downshift.
They said they couldn't guarantee Ford would warranty it. It all depends on the case. If they deemed the problem was caused by the different oil then they would not warranty it. Engine oil is a little different, as long as you are using the same 5w-20 you will be fine. It all depends on what...
I'm still considering changing fluid to Amsoil or Royal Purple. I know when I start doing track days in the Florida heat that thin dual clutch fluid isn't going to hack it. Ford really should warranty at least up to synchromesh weight.
So I took my car to Ford today. I described the thud to my service advisor and a transmission tech there. They both knew about this sound and have heard it in all the manual Mustangs, especially those equipped with performance packs due to the gearing (Not sure if they meant all Mustangs or...
Oh please, he wasn't going that fast and he never lost traction. Give him break, nobody was in any danger. Some dried up old shrew just didn't like the loud noise and called the police.
So I just made an appointment for Friday morning to go for a drive at the dealer to have them listen to it. I told them that if they need to keep it we can schedule a time for me to bring it back next week. I'll report back...
So the Steeda bars have welded on billet ends. Is there any real benefit from that over the stamped ends? I've never heard of a stamped end breaking but then again I don't get out much.
So you say that the best way for Ford to track the issue is for it to be diagnosed by the dealer. We keep saying that if we go to the dealer they will just take a test drive with us, tell us it's normal, then send us on our way which is a total waste of everyones time. The problem is not...
