Just be careful with our local MINI dealer, a friend of mine had his JCW R56 helpfully written off by a mechanic at lunchtime when it was in for a service. Dealer were very difficult to start with (initially offered him an average trade-in deal on a new GP2, ie costing him money for them...
Mine's a daily driver (it's our only car) so gets a fair bit of use. I reckon it would be the guts of £20K to change for MY19 - not worth it as fundamentally it's the same car but with extra "stuff".
In the past I've nailed my colours to the mast about it being a "forever car", and there's not...
I did a manual reset on the oil life about this time last year when I had a few thousand on the clock. Since then it was serviced 6 months ago and have clocked up some autobahn action already this year. Due to put another 800 miles on the clock this weekend, so whilst perhaps being over...
I've been playing with the FordPass app, and have discovered my oil life remaining is 6%! Time for an oil change...
All the Ford dealers in my neck of the woods, well, I wouldn't trust them with yours, so off to an independent for an oil and filter change. Normal servicing via the...
Whilst they are at it, to match the intake manifold correctly I think the exhaust manifold and entire exhaust system should be changed too. And pop on that nice button for the activeness. I don't think you want the engine to be imbalanced :D
I thought that microwaves are useless as faraday cages for things like mobile phones and car keys. They are faraday cages for microwave radiation, but not stuff lower down the spectrum. Certainly my phone works inside a microwave; tested that out a few years ago.
Typo in the reg, should be KY65 VPM
Fingers crossed it's found intact and unscathed.
I rather feel that if my car is stolen and thrashed to hell, I'd rather not see it again. Few stories on Pistonheads about stolen recovereds and just the state of the car is a shocker. One bloke had a Golf...
Another random question, have you noticed any map updates? There's been a bunch of road building in the area and I wonder when the maps will catch up.
I'm IT too, and had noticed the references to QNX in the zip file; and tbh, am happier with the thought of my car running a Unix clone rather...
I've downloaded the upgrade, and am pondering upgrading mine. Had a peer through the files in the zip file, and mine also includes the Nav/EU reference mentioned above. Car is Sync 3 v2.0, so must be eligible.
How long did your upgrade take?
