Mine is sitting in the garage under a car cover on the battery tender. I don't think of it as an investment, I just like to keep it as nice as possible for as long as possible. If we get any nice stretches of winter weather here I'll take it out. If/when I ever decide to sell it, someone is...
I say mid pipe mod- remove/replace the stock resonator with an X, H or resonated mid. Personally, I wouldn't touch the stock active exhaust until I started there. I've heard some nice sounding active exhaust coyotes that only did a mid mod.
Anyone reading this thread had their ride plasti-dipped? I considered that for another car I had. Ended up just doing the wheels. The wheels looked great and the finish held up really well for the three years I had it until I sold it.
:frown: Reading this brought back painful memories- I let my 16 year old son drive my '72 Cutlass S (retired show car, super nice) to school once in a while- he did fine and was careful, but one day he decided to take it to the car wash after school and got rear-ended by another high schooler...
I replaced mine with a blank panel on my 2018 - should fit a 2019 I think.
It's in great shape, black with black GT badge - but does have one tiny mark that I never tried to polish out. You can't see it unless the light hits it just right.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll pm you some...
I think there are places that need em. They're for low traffic areas that see zero traffic on certain times/days of the week so some folks to do a couple laps sideways- remove the traffic and this looks like a good one 😉
My studs are stock. Steel is ductile, so all studs do stretch (a tiny bit) under torque. I based my comment off something I read: "The body of the bolt acts like a stiff spring. The stretching of the bolt causes a predictable preload to exist in the bolted joint"
If the studs didn't stretch at...
My last muscle car was a '72 Olds 442- it was a fun car.
Original 455 bored .30 over with a mild cam, TH400. All that torque is pretty addictive on the street haha. Found an old video of teaching my daughter how powerbrake not too long after she got her license... I'm a bad dad..
I'm...
I use Dorman 711-655E lugnuts on my AR Drift wheels- the contact cone is smaller, so originally I torqued them to 120ftlbs, then later upped it to 130ftbls. I haven't had any issues and they have been holding steady @127-131ftlbs (according to my never been calibrated torque wrench) for five...
Maybe, but it's been like that since new. I've only let two people drive my Mustang (both manual BMW owners, 128i and clown shoe) and they both said something along the same lines of how 2nd to 3rd wasn't as smooth as the other shifts. It's a 2018 model too, so it may have the weak fork.
I put...
