Way too many sources would disagree about weight and power...
And way too many variables about dynos. Or maybe you had a dog. Were not SAE certified back then. I never saw them get close to 12s stock but did see mid 13s at Atco in the late 90s when I used to run my 94 GT. It took heads, intake...
The only way Im buying a GT is if a blower goes on it. And of course I want Ford to do some of the work for me. Less work for me. I want a car that isnt a garage or dyno queen. I want a car I can take to the drag strip or blast around on back roads and not end up stranded or with a blown motor...
LS1s were making 290-300+ to the wheels. And they weighed 3300-3400 lbs.
Im with you on the age of those cars. Who knows what state of tune they are now in. The majority of them have to be questionable.
My guess...
GT350
1/4 mile 12 flat to however slow you can drive one for magazines and the masses.
high 11s for the good drivers
dare I say mid 11s for heros.
ANyone figure out what gear they will be finishing the 1/4 in yet?
Yeah Im an optimist.
Anyone on this site play around in the stock market?
I figure that since the Mustangs we love are pretty expensive cars, there has to be others on here that play around in the market either through retirement accounts or taxable accounts.
Anyway whats your take on this weeks correction?
And...
Last time I mentioned the LS1 cars under Evan Smith the fanboys stated the car wasnt bone stock and by default that Evan SMith is a liar.
For those other than fanboys the consensus is that LS1 cars with a great driver on a prepped track could run high 12s. There was another guy who would get...
I was waiting for the Camaro pricing just in case I wanted to give GM a try. If the Camaro came out with something I couldnt say no too there was a possibility of me jumping ship.
Looks wise I think the car looks just like the old model. On GMs build a Maro they had the 15 close to the 16. And...
I am with the one guy who said to spend the money elsewhere.
In my pure opinion I would try to make the car more bulletproof for a long and healthy life. I would spend that money on the cam sprockets and oil pump gears. Either one of them breaking in the future will be a large bill. And yes I...
My opinion.
12.6 @ 113 from Motor Trend.
Good drivers at a good strip will get 12.2 to 12.4
And hero runs in negative DA will be very low 12s.
And flame me but there may be some 11s with the auto in negative DA on a sticky track.
Yeah I was just like you. Thinking and hoping that the S550 would be 450hp minimum.
I am still in the process of saving up for a HUGE downpayment and mod money so I have the luxury of waiting and seeing. The GT350 is a real bargain. But I still love the idea of a PD blower on a GT. I like to...
Yeah I gotta agree. At the drag strip losing by a second is getting destroyed.
OP dont forget in these dog days of summer the weather is slowing down your car. You get a low barometer pressure, humid hot day with your car already being heat soaked and you can kiss a nice chunk of power goodbye...
Nothing you add will flat out "void" a warranty.
But, if you have a part failure and it is deemed to have been caused by an aftermarket part, then yes you could have to pay for that damage.
Also dealers are different, some may work with you, others may not.
But it seems that if you get a tune...
OP this is why I sold my blown 05 GT. I was at Atco and a 2014 auto car was running 12.0xs @114 with a tune and splice in FRPP Xpipe. It was great DA that day. He latr that month hit 11s in negative DA. I was sold as soon as I heard about it.
This is also the reason Im going with an Auto. The...
Im still debating a blown GT or just getting this and keeping it bone stock.
If I do get it I will be another one bucking the trend and drag racing it. Its what I know and what I love. But I will have to try some track events too. Expand my horizons.
The Boss wasnt to shabby at the strip...
Not saying that you didnt lose power but DA is more than just temperature. Atmospheric pressure and humidty also play into it. Use the Drag Times website to get the DA for all of your runs so you can get the true DA for your runs...
Whipple, Procharger and Roush....
Did you guys buy and install a supercharger kit on your 2015 Mustang?
Because all of you voted that you did.
The poll wasnt which model would you choose or you think is the best.
It just seems like stat padding if you didnt.
Dealers can tell you anything. Maybe they are liars, maybe just ignorant. If I don't see it in writing I don't believe it. This question has been asked several times. And in every thread someone chimes in a claim of retaining a factory warranty. And not in one case has anyone actually shown in...
