I also was disappointed with the lack of bass. I wound up using a Kenwood KSC-SW11 powered sub. It is small enough that I was able to mount it under the passenger seat. Added a nice amount of bass to round out the system. I believe it was about $200 dollars and an afternoon of labor to install.
Completed my swap over to SYNC 3 over the weekend. Used the harness from Hextall which was excellent quality. Made the swap completely plug and play. Spent a out 5 hours on the job. Took my time, no broken clips. Wire tied everything nice so as not to have any dash rattles. Programming...
There is a company called snow joe. They make a Styrofoam type head on a telescoping handle. Used it the past two years. Woks well, and no scratches. Google the name for the website. I think it was less than 20 dollars.
+1, I've been waiting for there for months. I understand production problems. But maybe let the vendors wait for the thousands, and do a pre-sale for those of us on the forum.
Hey Nick, any update on a release date yet. Still holding out on putting in my California Special grill. Only want to pull the bumper cover once. Getting lazy in my old age.
The connector that is in the r/f kick panel has the wires leading to the rear speaker. I just stripped back some of the insulation and soldered my wires going to the subwoofer.
I used a Kenwood KSC-SW11 powered sub. Mounted it under the passenger seat and tapped into the rear speaker wiring in the l/f kick panel. Took about 4 hours to install. Very impressed how much it changed the overall sound of the system. Think I Paid about $160 for the unit.
I bought a California Special grill about 2 months ago and have been waiting for the lights to come out. Hoping to only take the bumper cover off once. Not that I'm rushing you, but please soon.
I believe there is a Ford service message on this problem. SSM45895 Vehicles built before 4/22/2015 need to have the BCMB updated with the latest calibration. Your dealer should be able to repair it with the software update.
Hi Cara, yes I did a master reset. Took it to the dealer last week. They thought it was a bad APIM module. Replaced it yesterday. Still same problem. My thought is that as I understand the 2016 models do not have the aux line in feature and that the new software does not recognize that this is a...
I have a 2015 Mustang with the base SYNC 2 setup. When I first got the car I was able to use the aux line in located in the center console. Now when I use the media button to scroll to the aux input it no longer shows up. The only thing I can think of is I have updated the SYNC software from the...
I also did the Sync update on my system. Had the same problem confirming the update on the Ford website. I did notice that when I chose the .XML file from my usb drive and it placed it in the upload box on the Ford website it said fakepath in front of the file name. Maybe this has something to...
Same thing happened to me on Monday. The screen was blank but showed a date of 03-03-2000. After about 30 minutes it started to work again. When I spoke to one of the Tech's at the dealer he had no explanation for it.
I have a strange one. Ordered my car on 3/14/15. My window sticker showed up today on COTUS today. There is no pricing on the sticker, though the options are correct. In the upper right side where the fuel economy data is supposed to be it says "EPA data not available. Unit not to be offered for...
Hi all, got a question. The dealer order for my car was put in last Tuesday, March 17th. I am thinking of changing it from manual transmission to auto transmission. Has anyone else had a second thought about a change after the order was put in? Thanks.
