I believe I am ready to make a full big boy pass in the car next weekend.
Just wanted to run my plan by you guys and see what you think.
Car makes 850 on a Paxton at 7500 RPM.
I have BMR lockouts, vert links, drag springs - (stock PP shocks until next round of mods is done)
I plan to run...
17x9 and a 28x11.5-17 MT bias ply or Hoosier slick. Especially on a stick car with steep gearing like the PP GT. Run them at 11-13psi cold and let er rip.
Only way I would run a radial is for Mexico roll racing where I'd probably hit 160-180 or daily driving with no dig runs on a prepped surface.
Also FYI Enkei RPF1's are super light in the 17x8 and 17x9's and make a killer drag setup as well. You can run a 235 on the 17x8 and still be legal for most roll race events and the combo will still weigh the same as a weld 17x4.5/5 and MT Sportsman. The 17x9 weighs 15lbs....
Well I do have some headway in figuring this out. Just need to send a note to Willwood to find out if the components are available for sale. I would suspect they should be as replacement parts.
They use the MC4 caliper in the rear big brake kits. These kits come with the proper ebrake cables...
No, my EB didn't have the performance pack which comes with the 4 piston brakes. It was a base, with 2 piston calipers - just like the base V6. The 6 piston brakes bolted right up. Like mentioned, if you are worried the hoses are stupid cheap.
I have a set of Brembo 6 pistons with new pads and relatively new rotors for $650 plus shipping if you have 19" wheels.
Otherwise the OEM lines will work across all the calipers. I have put Brembo's on an Eco (same front calipers as V6) using stock lines.
Do you know if the Street version with optional tubular A-arms retains the OEM strut and hub?
Really interested, just not sure I want to roll with the full race and give up this fancy EPAS rack, I mean, it's a street car right?
Has anyone looked at adapting something like the single piston wilwood parking brake to the baer kit? It looks like a relatively simple bracket and possibly custom length cables is all that is needed.

I fully intend...
I didn't like the 3.73's on the street in my car. Way too much gear. I also had to be in 3rd gear for a 60 roll, which blows.
I went 3.15's and the car is perfect. I can do 2nd gear bakery runs and the hit is incredible or I can cruise in 6th and get those MPG gains.
3.31's are typically...
Hate to revive this old post but information seems spotty.
Have either of you run the OEM TPMS on these wheels? Did you have to use bands or did they fit in the normal stem mount position?
If you are on street tires you just want to clean them off. Getting them super hot doesn't help you at all.
If you want to make fast passes you really need a set of drag radials.
As far as tire PSI, I would let out 2psi increments and monitor 60ft times until they get better. Keep lowering...
I haven't made a full pass yet due to having the stock DS in the car. I just installed the new one on Sat. May try to make a full pass this Friday, I'll have to see if I can make it out.
I have a lot of shakedown to do so I know what this car likes. Going to start with 4k off the 2 step and go...
It depends greatly on fuel, tune, abuse, and maintenance.
Use E85, a reputable tuner, don't beat on the car when it is hot or too cold, and change your oil, etc and you can make anything live outside of a freak occurrence.
It really does depend on the other cars gearing and power band as well. My 60 roll with 3.73's was adequate for most cars but up against a A6 mustang of the similar power I was severely out gunned. I changed the ratio so that now I start 60 rolls in 2nd gear around 5500ish RPM and it's a...
I need to change up my suspension game. Going from road course oriented to more drag specific. I understand much of this will be shock settings and alignment but what do you suggest for a MT82 car? They seem to 60ft like a molasses drip in mid winter. (I was hoping I can change this with my...
I'd be interested in a kit to fit the 2018 turn/fogs into the 2015-2017 GT's. Should be rather easy to do if the light housings themselves fit.
Do you have any information on the fitment of the combo housings?
It's highly dependent on gearing and driver mod if the power to weight is similar or at least not in their favor.
3.73 gears are tough for 60 rolls unless the car you are running is rather gutless. I moved to 3.15's and my car is 10x the animal from a 60 as I can start in 2nd gear.
I've...
