The cobrajet intake is one sexy looking intake... But I sincerly doubt it's going to get you what you want. And I would advise you not to modify it.
People have a misconception. About porting. Porting only works if there is a restriction to remove, bigger or wider is not always better. As you...
Personally i love the power delivery of the coyote it's easier to drive the piss out of it on a twisty road or on a racetrack because of the smooth power delivery and wide torque curve makes it fun and forgiving. If you feel the car needs more you can simply change the intake tube. I dont know...
So check out this chart i found off the interwebs of a 2004 545i dyno
As you can see the engine makes the majority of its torque very early in the rev band so it will "feel" faster than the GT despite having almost 100 ft-lbs less...
The torque curve just plummets after 4250 unlike the coyote...
Yeah you'll be fine then... Itsjusta6 on YouTube ran 900+whp on a gen 2 for over a year heavy drag racing finally cracked a ring land... These engines are tough
I'm personally wary of octane boosters because even though they are marked as O2 safe ive had sensors fail on an old car I used to run. These cars have wideband o2 sensors those aren't cheap to replace..
I guess if you aren't going overboard with it you'll be fine. The good thing about boostane...
it may not be a bad idea to do a compression test every now and then just to catch any potential issues early.
These cars can crack a ringland and still run "healthy" until it melts the piston. If you catch the issue early u can salvage the engine.
Its A reasonable question even professional racing schools talk about not going fully WOT to lower wear and tear on the engines.
For competative driving they don't give a shit, just survive the race.
That said OP. the coyote is a very strong motor, its not as delicate as some on here would...
Why would you want to go back to Bama?
Think of your ECU like a hard drive with excel spreadsheets. All a tune does is write over the data in the excel sheet. Some handheld tuners will hold multiple custom tunes but once you flash the cars computer it's running only one tune at a time
Lol this is why u buy quality... Yeah sometimes its just better to spend the money man. I mean u paid 30k+ for the car why not buy good stuff from the get go vs take a chance on low quality unproven stuff.
Glad you caught it early, a lot of guys are putting cheap uncatted headers on their cars...
Your car already comes with racing cams...
Just buy a blower. The coyotes dont need aftermarket cams unless your building a competition vehicle and need every last drop of power. Plus with our valvetrains they wont chop like the old 2 valve motors.
Imho just not worth the money and effort.
If...
I voted for Lund because Yolo douchebags channel is freaking hilarious...
Both tuners tune Coyotes all day everyday so more than likely they will give you great results...
More people seems to go with Lund once u get boosted...
im curious too, a couple YouTube videos show guys running them with the stock 15-17 mufflers they seem almost stock in terms of loudness just a little louder at idle. But youre still getting the benefits of the better scavenging and the better quality collectors. So i think running them with the...
