I do not have a GT350, but if I had traded my Boss in on one, financially, I would have probably only been able to afford the Base model. All the literature I saw, all the reviews, everything pointed to each GT350 being a track capable car. It later comes out that the Base and Tech cars hit...
When I first looked at your car, I kinda threw up a little....but, BUT, the more I looked at it, the more the rims grew on me! I actually like em. Unique, unusual, something you won't see everyday.

Yeah, the tranny is the one thing that will "allow" me to sell it one day. Have not done a single mod, think special editions should be left original, BUT, will probably do a new race spec shifter and clutch. Heard it makes a difference...
To me, it is how many Boss 302's do I see a day vs. how many 15, 16, 17 Mustangs do I see. Both are plenty fast, so I choose rare over maybe a tenth faster....
I love the color of my Boss, love the retro look of the Boss and enjoy having a somewhat "raw" Sunday driver. It would take a special car for me to part with my Boss. Not a fan of Ford anymore, so probably my last Mustang.
Dave
Too me, you buy a Silver Camry or Accord, but you buy a Grabber Blue or Orange Mustang.....UNLESS you are buying a Shelby and want the classic White or Blue with White or Blue stripes. I got a GHIG Boss and have not one time regretted getting a crazy @$$ color.

I just put a deposit down for two of these for my Boss. I got the Super Sports for the front, about 3 months ago, and now supposedly cannot get them anymore. I guess Tire Rack might have them, but then you add on installation and shipping, and you are at the same price as the 4S.
REMEMBER, there are Base and Tech owners who go into limp mode WHEN NOT ON THE TRACK. I think that is a big deal, and no amount of box checking would have saved them.
That's like saying every boss 302 can't shift above 5000 rpm like you said. Maybe it's the driver.
Not the driver, it is well known on the Boss forums. A lot of guys get the MGW shifter, a blowfish bracket, etc. I have heard some have success with one, with both, with other things, but no...
I think the argument that if you bought a Tech or Base model, you got what you paid for because you should have bought the R or Track if you planned on tracking your car is flawed, for ONE reason. Guys are hitting limp mode on the street. Un%$@$acceptable!
Once again, you failed to read. I do not own a GT350, but if I did, I probably would have ordered a Base model, and assumed based on all the literature, that it was a track worthy car that would not go into limp mode on the highway just because the temperature outside was over 80 degrees. I...
There were no option boxes for me to check, my Boss came with the only options, Torsen and Recaros. (I do not consider a car cover an option) Why not read a post in its entirety before posting nonsense and looking foolish?
I think everyone ASSUMED a GT350 would be track ready, since that is what all the literature and promotions said. Ford did the same thing with the Boss, gave it a great engine and was supposedly ready for the track with a 7250 rpm redline, however, you cannot change gears over 5000 rpm. Ford...
Come borrow my Frontier....4x4 and was wicked in the snow up at Big Bear on Christmas day and New Years Eve up in Idyllwild. I saw a couple of Mustangs up on Big Bear, but very glad I had my truck and not my Boss.
