The slimmer headlights and larger grill have been confirmed for a few months now. There was a leaked picture of the front end being tested, I have just been waiting to see the cabin and rear. Which these pictures clearly show.
It kind of has a mustang II vibe to it IMO.
They even have the door...
My guess would be that they were testing the suspension and exhaust. They had mics behind the exhaust in one picture of this mule, and we've seen it with different wheels and suspension heights.
Agreed. I am thinking that if this is the interior on the mule, they just slapped a bunch of parts together to get it running. The point of a mule is to test the engine and chassis. Not to make it look pretty.
Which would also explain the article in C&D that stated that the interior pic "isn't...
Here are 3 reasons that I believe this is NOT the new mustangs interior.
1. The Ford logo. The mustang is the only car in Fords lineup that does not have a Ford logo. I hope they plan on keeping it that way, if they would like to keep me as a customer.
2. The shifter. That is the exact same...
Actually, wouldn't it be the opposite? It's a wish bone shape (If I assume correctly) so taking it on the lift would allow the suspension to relax downward, falling inward towards the car. As soon as there is weight, it pushes the axle up, widening it.
Porsche is known for how well they handle. Maybe they are racing them together to try to get the new mustang to be just as good as far as cornering and handling.
So this defiantly confirms that the 2015 mustang will be significantly wider. Due to the gas cap being covered and the wheels sticking out a significant amount from the wheel wells. Great, just what I needed, someone with a closer target to hit there door with. :/
On test mules like this, is...
Not a fan, It looks to much like a typical 2 door sedan. It's not unique enough. It doesn't scream Mustang to me, but it's a hell of a lot better than the first render from Car and Drive a year ago. I almost threw up when I saw that one.
The v8 has already been confirmed. There are even spy shots of the engine bay of the 15 and it had a nice shinny v8 in it. Ford isn't that dumb, they know that taking out the v8 would be suicide for the mustang brand.
The photographers watermark was right where the photoshop splice was, so he had to do it. Which means that he purposely covered up the fact that it was on the back of a truck, and he blurred out the background. Which makes me think that this "famous" photographer is actually working with Ford in...
