Because I think it may be the auto in the 15 mustang. I've never seen it in any Ford vehicle before, and this has to have paddle shifters, because it has a manual option in the shift line, but no thumb or bump shifter.
Those are so they can attach equipment so they can measure emissions and other things. There just tubes that are attached to the end of the exhaust system.
There are easier ways to improve MPG. Yes, more gears means the engine revs at a lower limit at higher speeds, but you can achieve the same thing with a large engine or a turbo booster. That's why the 13 shelby got such great mileage. A big engine barley working is better than a small engine...
More gears in a car does not mean a better car. It does mean a better car to a certain point, but after that it adds no value to the car, in fact it may make the car perform worse. I think the sweet spot is 6 gears. The new Nissan GT-R is rumored to have 7 gears (to increase top speed I assume)...
A 10 speed? You're joking right? That thing would be shifting every 2 seconds. It would be horrible! Unless it's a dual clutch, but even then it would not be fun. Even with a 7 speed I think that would be to much shifting. 6 speed is just fine.
Agreed. I think this was a direct attempt by Ford to stir up speculation. They rolled down the windows, and drove through a neighborhood. Either that's really a camoed s179 and they are just messing with us, or they want to see everyone's reaction on the internet and perhaps make changes based...
Hmmm. Now I'm starting to doubt a fastback. With the angle that the window enters the camo, it doesn't look like a strait line from there would reach the trunk. :(
To me, it just looks like a miniature s197, but I hope that they are planning something more radical than that.
In this picture...
Looks good!
This thought just occurred to me, do you think this could be the convertible version? If it is, that would be a good play on Fords part, because it would make it even harder for us to guess the final shape.
Another thing I just noticed. Look just forward of the mirror. (On the pic I uploaded) The camo pealed away just a tad bit. Does that look like some kind of channel running along the side of the car? What could that be?
Agreed.
Take a closer look at this pic. The I believe that the "Spoiler" that is in there is actually false, and made to give a false impression of where the trunk ends. It is so much higher than the rear lights, and where the trunk should be. So it's either a large wing (Which I see no point...
Are you talking about the older pic that I just posted or the new one?
Also, on the new pic, I just noticed this, but does it look like they have some type of thick pad underneath the camo, on the roof. It kind of looks like the roof doesn't line up with the windshield, and the roof looks uneven.
