Could be. But either way, if it's accurate, damn you are getting your ride fast. I haven't even had any delays yet (like the 2/2 week folks) and if I get mine on time it'll be 2 months from order to delivery.
Me too. Looking forward to seeing the progress bar move to "awaiting shipment." Means this theoretical car I built is now an actual thing. :)
But I will be flying a Boeing 737-800 full motion simulator tomorrow, so I will be too busy having fun to care :headbang:
Are you sure you don't have a build week? My understanding was that once you have a VIN, you should have a build week. And now that you have an EDD you should have a build date. If so I'd guess you're probably in the 3/30 build week.
When the S550 was first hitting dealers I had one dealer that would only allow test drives to customers who were ready to buy right then and there. Other dealer didn't care so I test drove there. But by now, no dealer should be pulling that crap - it's a Mustang, not an Aventador.
I am okay as well with the current MFT. Hearing all of the rumors it sounded like Sync 3 was going to blow the current MFT out of the water but ...... I'm not seeing it. Sure, it's slightly faster and you can do AppLink via MFT but the GUI is still super ugly. Ford needs to hire some pro GUI...
If you want a relative comparison between Touring and the S-Type, here's a video from Borla on their S197 version. Obviously the sound will be different with the S550 but this should give an idea in terms of the relative volume between the versions. I am guessing the FRPP Touring is somewhere...
Looks like my build date is 3/17... hopefully it's off the line awaiting shipment before everyone comes back from their St. Patrick's Day festivities
Oddly enough it also shows the Touring to be 10 lbs lighter than the S type... would have thought the suitcase design would have added weight compared to the x-pipe.
Funny, the few I have driven (and one of them a rental that already had 2k miles on it) have been solid as a rock. My 328i is a rattle trap in comparison.
The formula is, let the clutch out too slowly = easy, smooth engagement = premature clutch wear. Let it out too quickly = rough, jerky engagement = premature drivetrain (halfshaft, driveshaft, etc) wear. If perfectly in between, you'll be okay.
Also, don't keep the clutch depressed at...
True, though the car I had that displayed the worst color match of all time was actually a plain refrigerator white car (BMW's Alpine White). Clearcoats have their own yellowish tint so it was obvious it had been repainted. Black might not be a problem though. Not really a lot of shade variation...
I think "fast" to you must mean the car is trying to wrestle the steering wheel out of your hands. That must be brutal... anything more civilized than that must feel slow.
