Alignment from the factory can be way off. When I got my wheels and tires I had an old-school guy (no laser/computer) do the alignment. 25k+ miles later the tires wear evenly. These are the specs I used:
Front:
Camber: not adjustable
Toe: 0.0 - -0.05
No more than -.10 total...
What I do for 5th and 6th is turn my hand, thumb down, so my palm hits the left side of the knob. Once the muscle memory set in, those shifts were easier to hit.
The 8 hour thing does indeed allow the car to determine the battery condition, but the BMS reset tells it the battery is new. Two different parameters used to determine the charging strategy for the alternator.
I'm not a fan of fake chrome, or any chrome on the S550, so in addition to a blank deck lid I got magnetic metallic (dark grey) 5.0 emblems and grille pony. Very subtle with the Kona blue and the black grille.

Have you checked or had it checked for error codes? If you don't have a code reader, most auto supply stores will check DTCs for free.

My plate has script at the bottom that most frames would cover. The plates were kinda warped when I got them, so I wanted a slim metal frame with only the top screws (no front plate) that would keep it flat. This worked for me. Choice of colors.
